  1. At these prices it is not suprising that they are not selling any.
  2. Hopefully £175 if you are interested please contact me.
  3. I bought a 07 plate 1.8 TDCI 6 weeks ago. Very pleased with it, but it needed a few mods to make it more driver friendly. First I had my sat nav hard wired and a second power output fitted at the back of the armrest consul. I can now charge my phone whilst it is in the armrest. Next daylight running lights fitted and headlight bulbs changed for 100 watt versions. Yesterday I had a 6 disc DAB changer fitted (Sony) and an aux input fitted, so an MP3 player can be used. The interior is now tidy with no trailing wires, and the night vision is fantastic. I shall be putting the previous FM Sony 6 di
  4. First I have the trip computer set to instant mpg, and then I try to keep the speed just below 60. You have to keep an eye on the computer and if the mpg starts to drop, just ease off slightly on the accelerator, until it rises again. At first I couldn't believe the figures, but the computer tallied up with the refill mpg. It is a MK2, I could never get these sort of figures on my MK1.5
  5. Get a 1.8 diesel. I can get 70mpg on a long run, 50 mpg around town, and they go like the clappers.
  6. It has now been fixed, took it to a different Ford agent, who actually listened to what I said. I thought it was a problem with either the whip part of the aerial or the co-axial lead. Turns out it was both. Thw whip had an internal break, and when they disconnected the co-axial from the radio, the co-ax plug fell to pieces exposing the wires! The previous Ford agent had taken the attitude, "we know best, it is definitely neither of those" Just shows you should listen to customers. Fortunately it was under warranty so it only cost me time. Thanks for reply, I was using the setting.
  7. Sorry this post should be in the MK 2 section.
  8. Is there a problem with these radios? I am now on my second, and it has the same symptoms of the first, it fades out when you are away from your main transmitter and wont seek out the same station ie R1 or R2 from a different transmitter. I went from London to Peterborough yesterday and by the time I reached Stanstead I had lost all the BBC national stations and it would not seek out these stations on then next transmitter. Getting very fed up :(
  9. For headlight bulbs try www.redlineuk.co.uk The white 100 watt bulbs are fantastic, just make sure the lights are adjusted ok. Won't cost you a lot.
  10. As I have said before, the mk3 has a basic design fault which cannot be rectified, in that it is too cramped for taller drivers. I can get in and out of the new KA easier than the mk3. On Sat I tried the new Astra and that was much more spacious and comfortable than the focus.
  11. So far 4 thumbs up and 10 down :(
  12. Could be that Ford have produced a turkey? They haven't produced many, but the Corsair springs to mind as does the original Capri with the inward sloping rear window like the Anglia.
  13. I have spoken to a few Ford salesman and there have been a lot of complaints about it being cramped, especially by tall people. I am 6'4" and found it very uncomfortable. I had a mk 1 which had much more room, I have now changed it for a MK 2 which has even more space. However Ford may "facelift" the Mk 3l it cannot solve this problem. The basic design is wrong.
  14. Is it thumbs up, or thumbs down?
  15. I would like a flip key for mine, where can I get one?
  16. I have a 07 plate Focus 1.8. In London I am getting 40mpg plus. Occasionally I can push it to over 50mpg. On motorway journeys 60mpg is quite achievable, on one occasion I managed 71.5mpg. I have compared the computer with refill calculations, and they match up fairly well. :D
  17. Went and looked at one in the local Ford dealership. Looks nice, but I cannot get into the drivers seat comfortably. The steering wheel at maximun uptilt catches my knees when I get in, and the door opening is so low I hit my head getting in. I am far more comfortable in my 53 Mk 1. Going to look at new Astra tomorrow. I should add that I am 6ft 4in
