  1. I'm looking at tints too, but dont trust myself to DIY it. Would be good to hear any recommendations for tinting companies.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Focus-04-Chr ... dZViewItem Sadly not the carbon grille, else I'd have had a go myself...but may tickle someones fancy. Very good price at the moment EDIT : I chanced my arm and tried him for the carbon grille, but no cigar. Apparently he has more than one of the chrome efforts though so could be good from some :)
  3. This should do nicely :) http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine- ... -2193.html or perhaps http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine- ... -5763.html if you want soemthing in black Both will be nothing more than a few plugs to install :)
  4. I was only answering his question, no need for the eye rolling malarky, but thank you for pointing it out.
  5. As above - tis but a humble Focus Sport :) Wheels are Mondeo St220 Alloys. Bought them on ebay for just over £500 with tyres. £200 polish and refurb , so just over £700.#
  6. Not to worry - cant see me justifying that much after my wheel spend :)
  7. Hi, Yeah I checked froogle for the prices. I may be tempted. Would you be interested in my KD-AVX2 in part ex? Mines a humble sport, so you'll never see it tearing up the pod, but it has its merits :)
  8. It is a bit of a chore - the clips are extremely snappy, and its worth having spares to hand if you are going to do it.
  9. Blimey - looks like I have got my work cut out here. Right, well I'll let the pics do the talking first, have a look here - www.mjdonline.eclipse.co.uk/Car/ICE/ ...and I'll answer any Q's as they come along :) The interior pic shows my original install which was over a year ago. Now have a KD-AVX2 and scosche fascia. I'll try and get a pic up of the finished install....when I actually feel I have finished :) Might be interested in that Alpine myself Craig :) Which model is it and hwo much were you looking for?
  10. Personally I positively detest the ST wheels, and the umpteen look a likes popping up are equally as bad if not worse. Definitely opt for lots of spokes and the bigger the better. :)
  11. You want either 5x7s or 16.5/17cm with appropriate adapters. I'll endeavour to get pics up. I have had them sitting about for ages, so should get them up in a how to. As for speakers, cant go wrong with Alpine Type R Components. Will set you back £80-£100 for a new set.
  12. I have noticed a similar sound after dropping a K&N panel filter in. Doesnt seem to have affected performance at all, so I'm inclined not to worry. It does sound much like a small mouse like dump valve. :)
  13. Great - I never use an ashtray in the car for smoking.....tis just a handy cubby :) As for tyres, I would go for without. Far too much competition out there, that can inevitably undercut main dealer prices. The wheels themselves though would be great! :)
  14. Hi Jo, Believe we have been here before, but worth reiterating. All suitable Ford 5 stud Alloy wheels perhaps? All exterior trim parts including door handles Smoked headlights Transit connect interior light (yes straight swap bar one unconnected wire) Ashtrays, as these things seem to be like gold dust Maintenance parts may be good too in future, oil, pollen filters, pads etc...
  15. Take this to email mate - I'll sort you out :) ffoc-at-mjdonline.co.uk
  16. Sorry wasnt questioning the quality of the speaker upgrade, it sjust most ICE-buffs would argue that you shouldnt really run rear speakers at all apart from when carrying passengers. As I said, to me its personal preference, whatever suits your ear. My Dad has the sony HU and speaker upgrade in his Focus and to be fair it does sound pretty good straight out of the box so to speak.....as it should I guess, given it was designed with the acoustics of that particular car in mind.
  17. Thing is though that the Titanium has a superb sounding component 8 speaker system, ditching the rears would really be a waste of such a system There are lots of folk who would disagree with that, but personally I think its all down to persoanl preference. i.e What sounds good for you? With the speaker upgrade, I would say the sub might be unnecessary, unless you are struggling for the real lows.
  18. Personally I dont see the point. Hold on to your hard earned cash and buy an ST :)
  19. Personally I'd probably ditch the rears myself.
  20. Think somebody was trying to put together a group buy on these some time ago.
  21. Not hard really. It would be easiest to run fresh cable spliced off the cables behind the dash. These can easily be fed under the trim along the full length of the car. (There is plenty of room in there, I have 4AWG power cable, 2 sets of RCAs and speaker cable under mine :) ) Then just hook up to your amp. Of course you will also need power cable, and a remote lead. Power is easy enough to get into the cabin, but you'll need to pick the right cable in the ford loom to switch your amp on. This would probably have to be the switched 12v feed. Its all do-able but you may be better just uprating
  22. Straight forward really, though if you arent putting additonal wiring in you will lose either both front or rear speakers to feed the sub.
