  1. True enough -nowt tickles my fancy so far, but nice to see things starting to pop up. I'm happy with my zetec smoked efforts - set the front off nicely without being brash. A second hand snip too :)
  2. Google translation isnt that accurate, but here are what seem to be angel eyes for 05/06 breed - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Focus-II-ab- ... dZViewItem
  3. A quick clean up with a wire brush and/or sand paper, followed by a loving coat of black hammerite or equivalent will bring the drums up a treat.
  4. Barely missed out on a set of stock lights for a song on ebay, with a view to tinting them myself. Worth keeping an eye out now, as parts are becoming more and more visible on ebay etc....
  5. The panel makes a noticeable difference to the response, far smoother through the rev range. Dont think it adds any horses, but definitely makes a difference. Fairly certain there isnt anything bluefin wise for this engine. Havent tended to my exhaust yet so cant offer much there.
  6. I was pretty chuffed with it :) Just got to get round to shifting the stock exhaust mount so I can get it on. :)
  7. Twas a private sale sir - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1 Fairly certain the guy had no idea how much it was worth. Told me it was bought as a gift for his MK1 foci. :D
  8. I got mine for a shade under 30 notes on ebay. They are pretty scarce second hand, but this was brand spanking new bar the wrapping - which was nice :)
  9. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %26fvi%3D1 Granted they arent in the UK, but hopefully the beginning of good things. Cant say I'm too fussed on these, but the pic is a bit naff, and they may work with some complimentary fog and reverse units.
  10. mmmm - I thought that - not sure i could justify it against a wedding ring for her indoors, but I'm sure I could find a way!
  11. A limited range of new foci bits and pieces. Mostly Ford stuff, but one or two oddities I havent seen before e.g Red rear fog/reverse lights www.european-parts.net
  12. Thats great - thanks for that. I think some time and planning should see me through to overcoming this small problem :)
  13. I have a 55 plate Sport, which I bought just before Christmas. I had to wait 6 weeks for it, but was told by the dealer that the vehicle I would be getting would be the 06 spec. This included a few unseen changes, but also included the plastic strips you describe. As such I assume yours is pre-06 spec.
  14. My latest ebay success (I hope) turned up yesterday, and I was keen to get it on today. Here layeth the problem. The exhaust is held in place at the rear by a hook held to the chassis by a rubber bracket. At first glance I thought this would be easy to remove, but would appear there is a very small weld holding the hook to the pipe itself. I had hoped a little gentle manipulation would have shifted it, but no cigar. Is this something I can overcome myself with common household tools, possibly a dremel, or do I need to suck it up and take it in somewhere to be done. I kind of begrudge hav
  15. 1. Remove the tweeter cover from the top corner of the door. The grille section simply clips in, so drop the window and using a small flat blade, gently prize the cover away, and then 'manipulate' it off, from the outside of the car. Remove the torx screw holding the enclosure to the door and then pull it away from the door, freeing the plastic clip that also holds it on. 2. Remove the bottom 1/2 of the grab handle in the centre of the door card. To do this insert a trim removal tool between the two halves, and gently ease the bottom half away. 3. Once removed, remove the two bolts hidd
  16. It has also been raised in the past that at speeds of 60+ ish, you may here a ratlle eminating from the passenger side of the car, towards the front. This is caused by the arch liner moving inside the arch It can be quickly remedied with a bit of split rubber, run over the edge of the arch liner where it meets the arch. :)
  17. tbh - the factory fit efforts arent that bad. If something more fitting came along then I'd consider it, but nothing grabs me as yet.
  18. Presumably a vehicle lowered by the dealer wouldnt be subject to this?
  19. I've had my new motor since just before Christmas, and naturally am keen to hold on to the warranty. I've changed the lights for alternative OEMs, fitted my ICE, added an MS Designs Exhaust trim. All reversible and I assume wont invalidate the warranty. I am moving onto colour coding now - bump strips, boot handle, mirror covers...and later door handles. Would such a modification constitute an invalidated warranty?
  20. Cosmetic and performance upgrades are pretty thin on the ground for the new focus. I have looked all over the place for a variety of standard mods, but very little about. Various side repeaters and grilles have started to pop up along with a good range of full bodykits, so tis only a matter of time I'm sure.
  21. Not sure if I should be surprised or not following stories from ST owners, but my local dealership informs me they dont do a touch-in in sea grey :( I was unfortunate enough to get battered by a council girrter during the winter, and whilst the damage is fairly minimal, its a niggling imperfection that always seems to be staring at me when polishing. Anyone know if its possible to get an accurate match mixed up somewhere?
