  1. I wonder if you could try and disconnect the battery and reset the radio. If you ahve the original security code then that would only work on original radio wouldnt it?
  2. All well and good, but if the EPB doesnt want to turn off then its not so easy. :?
  3. as 1955diesel says, you need to zero every reading. Your picasso probably reset all with one press of button like Peugeots do. I made that mistake at first
  4. Thanks Mastertech Mine will work mainly when stopped at lights and a car goes past. The car can be up to 4/5ft away, its a solid beep rather than short bursts too. My friends will beep when shes reversed out of her drive and about to pull away with nothing around her.
  5. So it could be possible that other parking sensors set them off. It seems to be very common. Yeah, ive not had any problem with rear sensors
  6. Have just spoken to a friend about her C-Max as shes taking it in for servicing Thurs and i thought i'd remind her of recall work. She told me that her parking sensor goes off when shes sat in queues of traffic and not moving. Mine does that too but my partner thinks it due to cars passing on other side of road that have parking sensors too. Is he right? Her car also bleeps when there is nothing near it to cause any collision though. The passing cars are not near enough to make car think a collision is likely and the beep is the constant one as if we are about to hit something. I know
  7. Thanks Nick, that may be the way its supposed to work, but i have car in gear (with clutch down obviously) ready to pull away. plus i hold it down for perhaps 2 secs and it still wont release at times.
  8. My c-max was in garage only 2 months ago and nothing was done to the epb then that i know of. I have found that, if it sticks, a nudge of the brake pedal can get in moving again, but that may just be coincidence. Nicola
  9. I havnt taken mine in yet. Must get it booked for service next week so will mention it then. In the meantime Im getting used to checking its off before trying to pull away. Think my car has sick sense of humour as it mainly does it when im at lights and at front of a long queue :) i dont tar everyone with same brush, Randy is just one of a small few. generally this is a great board for advice etc and everyone is helpful. Oh god, yeah a fiat, thatd be great. Will let you know what dealers say, but please let me know what happens with yours.
  10. Hi Re: the brake I dont get a warning on my 2.0TDCI Ghia 54 plate My partner had been complaining that the epb didnt always release and i put it down to his eagerness to pull away, but now ive discovered that it does it when im driving too and its becoming more frequent.
  11. Glad its now sorted. Redheads do have firey tempers and dont like being told what to do, you have been warned :) Ah my 'Knight in a shiny c-max' lol And everyone else worded it so much better than i could.
  12. If you had used question marks you may not have got the original replies that you did. You came across as if you were telling us to buy estates / multiplas rather than asking why we chose c-max rather than a 7 seater or estate. I have one child and a large pram, I dont need 7 seats, i dont need an estate. I chose diesel as i have a 60 mile journey to do twice a week. I chose 2.0TDCI for its economy and its responsiveness after previously owning 2 seaters / convertibles and being a bit of a speed freak. There was no way in hell i'd jump from a Mugen CRX to a focus diesel estate (no offence to
  13. That is reason you get what you call a 'bog off line' You ask what we see in them and then question us again. Accept what we say are our reasons for buying. We would accept your reasons for not wanting car. Im certainly not trying to twist your arm into buying one. You dont see point of them so why would i bother? And yes, I may not be as welcoming as a Golf owner but take me as you find me or not at all. Maybe the others on here will try and persuade you to buy c-max, but i feel i'd be wasting my time.
  14. Oh go on kiss its butt :D I wasnt defending the c-max, i stated why i liked it and why i chose it, which is what you originally asked. The idea of a forum is for everyone to give their thoughts and ideas, not to have them scutinised and questioned (unless they ask for advice or input).
  15. Not highly strung just dont appreciate having our reasons thrown back. If you ask why we like the cars then dont start saying that we should buy estates. If we wanted estates, we'd buy them in first place. You dont like fords or the service the dealers have given you in past as you admit so why bother with us at all? Go out and find your own reasons for liking them (or not liking them) , no-one else could change your mind.
  16. My 04 ghia has no visable switch either. I couldnt tell you if my alarm works or not, i dont think ive ever heard it :) Im just assuming it does
  17. Randy, why ask when you dont really care much for what we are likely to say? Im a mother and a company director, i dont want an estate car that'd look more fitting if full of ladders and paint pots! Its not your ignorance that needs pardoning if you ask me
  18. For me, i preferred the extra room and versatility it gave. I need space because i have a very large pram system and i travel a lot. Just my opinion.
  19. was this for petrol or diesel c-max My local Rapid Fit want £180 and the dealer (part of same group) want £185. doubt i can do any haggling. Thats for a 2.0TDCI
  20. Thanks Pesmo, I was under impression that it will cover up to age of 12 though. Obviously its dependent on height and weight. Nicola
  21. what r u suggesting, that Andy puts useful remarks like this on peoples post? Yep, thats a great life you have there Lee!
  22. how about something like this. http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/babybi ... t&cid=1814 Failing that, how about a seat back protector with storage pockets. Itll cover the table but keep seat clean
  23. Sorry cant help you on that stage car seat as my son is only in stage 1. Heres a link to an parenting forum for car seats. Someone there may be able to help you. What they dont know about car seats, prams etc just isnt worth knowing. http://messageboards.ivillage.co.uk/iv- ... eats/start Nicola
  24. Try Adrian Flux insurers. Have always got better quotes via them for sports cars, motorbikes and your standard old C-max. Nicola
  25. Thanks Mastertech, thats why i said others beg to differ. If the service has been late at any time we have to get it back in line!
