Hi, Same situation as me. Expecting my new Focus Ghia next week and got my V5C document yesterday. This is because in order to qualify for my (huge) discount the car had to be registered by 29 September 2006. You've got to have insurance in order to tax/register the car so the Ford 'driveaway' insurance is an easy way to do this as you don't know the exact delivery date of your car, so you can't instruct your own insurance company of the date.. Yes, the manual would help :) My dealer doesn't have any to hand and nobody there seems to know anything at all about the satnav! :roll: Isn't the Mondeo DVD satnav the same? (apart from the dual-zone temp control). You'd have thought a fairly large dealership would have come across a few of these over the years!

Hi, I posted this question in the Focus MK2 forum but thought I'd have a bash in here too as there's probably more C-Max's out there with the DVD Satnav than Foci! :lol: I know the DVD satnav head unit plays MP3s, but does it display the track names on the display? Anyone got any pics of it in action? I'm putting together an MP3 CD (for when I get my new Focus) and am wondering whether to bother correcting some of the bad/incorrect track names.. Many thanks!

Yep, once a year for a service or every 12,500 miles (petrol) - whichever occurs first. MK1 Focus was once a year or every 10,000 miles. I think they give you one months grace so you might get away with doing it Jan next year...?? At least there's no MOT for 3 years - yay! :lol:

Ocean Blue is now showing on the C-Max car configurator... http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/focuscmax/-/cm ... f/-/-/-/-# ...but not on the Focus configurator... yet...???! btw do the ST mirrors incorporate 'puddle lights' as well as side repeaters? They do on the C-Max...

Mine was built last week. Paint going on this week and then it'll be on the boat (hopefully once it's dry :wink: ). Delivery should still be 7 October... so they say........... I've seen a Focus estate in Ocean Blue at the dealership - the colour is something between Jeans Blue and Ink Blue I reckon - not as indigo as Jeans but not as dark as Ink. Think I prefer the old Jeans and what I'm now getting - Sea Grey. Colours are all down to personal taste though - the saleswoman couldn't see much difference between Jeans and Ocean...??? :|

I agree. The small detailing on the fog light bezel is enough. Bit of chrome on rear and front lower lights would be great - bit like the ST really....

Yea, I like the idea of a little bit of chrome around the front fog lights as well - would match the back (if I go for the Lexus style rear fog/reverse light). Have you got any pics/links...? Yea, I'm with you there! My MK1 Ghia is just starting to go and the chrome laquer has just started peeling a little too! :shock: I've stuck it down so it's barely noticeable now - just as well I'm selling it on now though!! Actually, come to think of it the laquer on the passengers scuff plate started coming off a year or so ago too! Hmmm.. a couple more reasons why my beloved MK1 has to go

Nice colour coding - I've never really liked the 'orrible plastic front fog light surrounds... (I'm getting Sea grey so it blends in ok) I've seen a few new Foci with the rear fog light/reversing light like you've got - is this an easy mod? Where did you get 'em from?

I was sorting a deal out with the dealer which included discounts direct from Ford (so that Ford can get as many cars registered by the end of the month/model year as possible). If the car is built after 29 Sept it comes into the 2007 model year and the special offers weren't available from Ford.... but the new specs are (3dr Titanium etc)... The standard build time for a new Focus is 6-12 weeks at the moment, so any cars ordered this month (and the back end of last month) will fail to be built before the new model year cut off date. Complicated, but all we need to know is we should both

dwright - you should be fine as you ordered your car in July and it will be built by the end of September (as mine will be). The new options and specs are for the 2007 model year cars (those built after 29 September). What colour did you have to change from/to? I wanted Jeans Blue but have now gone for Sea Grey.

Not sure about the Sport S - maybe it's a Sport with the Sport pack fitted?? (17" alloy wheels and body coloured spoiler) Ford seem notoriously bad at updating their websites and brochures (even the dealers are ill-informed!) - I went to order a Ghia in Jeans blue and was told it was no longer an option... that was a month ago and they're still showing it on the car configurator!! :evil:

Anyone seen the 2007 model year specs and options..? The top end models now have X packs.. Ghia now comes as standard with a Sony single CD and ST door mirrors. Ghia X pack adds full leather, a body coloured spoiler and rear parking distance sensors. Privacy glass is a £100 option for the first time. Titanium now doesn't come as standard with partial leather, but does have ST door mirrors and privacy glass. Titanium X pack adds the partial leather, 17" alloys, adaptive front lighting and a body coloured spoiler. Cruise control is a £200 option for the first time. Hmmmm...

Very good detailed 'how to' - hats off to you! :bowdown I won't be doing this mod to my new Focus when I get it though - I was told when I ordered the car that the Ghia now comes as standard with the ST mirrors... Haven't seen one yet though - I wonder what little logo (if any) they've put in place of the standard repeater???

lol let's hope my keys are not second hand and the red isn't just blood from someone elses vain attempts!! Didn't get any instructions with them though, do you have to wiggle and pull or do you just slot them in and pull (how many oo-errs??! :lol:)

These are the keys I got from www.addacdchanger.co.uk I got some on ebay originally but the guy sent the wrong ones (got a refund though). They seem pretty sturdy and the red plastic is nice and soft on the old pinkies! :wink:

I've just got some stereo removal keys (I'm gonna change the stereo/heater bezel) - not looking forward to that now knowing the keys get stuck! :shock: I'm getting the DVD satnav too!! Do you have to apply pressure outwards/up or down (as well as backward) when you try to pull the stereo out? I know you have to push outward and pull back when you release the MK1 radio...??

Hey PantherGhiaPompey! Did you ever get brave enough to try changing the centre console surround? I'm getting a Ghia and want to make the same mod.. ...any chance of a definitive 'how to' or some pics? Anything to watch out for?.. If you did do it, how easy was it to get the radio out?! :? Mine is coming with the DVD satnav but I guess it should be the same process. Cheers! (5 weeks til delivery....and counting....)
