  1. The updates are on yellow CD's. There were 2 produced. The dealer should discard the first one and use the second one only.
  2. Glad you're happy Dave. The updates that were done to your car should have been covered in the warranty as the EPB updates etc were part of a safety recall. As for any of the other updates these would have been done if you complained. BTW. For anyone reading. The dealers are not Ford. They are separately owned companies with the authority to wear the badge.
  3. That's right. The standard full manufacturers warranty is only 1 year on Focus. The extra 2 after that are like the old extracover used to be. - Mechanical only...... Trim is 1 year.
  4. My V6 Mondeo Auto managed 26Mpg Avg. I thought that was bad.... I take it you have calculated that MPG on a full tank or two. Not just relied on the fuel computer? Are your neighbours syphoning the fuel out when you're not looking?
  5. D900 (U1900) is CAN BUS Error. On the C-Max this code does not mean anything on its own. Don't worry about it. RAFE = Rolling Average Fuel Economy. The average since you last reset the average MPG display or if this was a ahile ago the average over a set period. Fuel economy will improve as the engine beds in. What do you class as bad? Also remember your driving style and temperature will have an efffect on the consumption.
  6. Craig, Thanks for the reply. Sorry I can't be of any help on this one. It's a strange one. Since it only happens on cold mornings could it be battery related? Let us know what the dealer finds. Steve.
  7. C, What variant of vehicle do you have. Petrol/Diesel? Steve.
  8. Because the warranty system requires that the fault be diagnosed before the dealer orders the part. Or else if they get it wrong they won't get paid. Part will probably come from Daventry or Merkenich.
  9. Have you filled the tank then??? :D :D
  10. But you said... I took this "of" to mean On, I suppose you meant Off. It should have a drive away release function. Whereby as you try to drive away it releases.
  11. Don't you just press the handbrake button down with your foot on the brake and the EPB is released?
  12. TIS on CD/DVD has died. It is no longer supported by Ford. It has been replaced by an online system called E-TIS. However there are a limited number of DVD being produced for markets where there is no connection back to Ford but these must be "electronically authorised" on the computer to which they are installed. So a connection back to the Ford dealer portal is again needed.
  13. No problem matey. The only way that you can check the software version of the engine ECU is with a diagnostic tool. Sorry. No shortcuts on this one.
  14. Chris, Neither of them do. They only refer to the software in the instrument cluster. Steve.
  15. If it's a 2001 onwards shape then yes you should be able to do it as they have the same GEM as on the Focus(Not C-Max) and this does it. I have to admit that I've never been asked to do one yet.
  16. Don't feel confused. That's our job!! WDS is the Ford dealer service tool. EEprom is the memory in the locking module that remembers you settings.
  17. I was under the impression that the remote features will be disabled when the ignition is on. I hope this is a 1 off. Nick - I've heard nothing yet......
