http://www.ford.co.uk/spg/getImage.asp? ... N_Ebro.pdf I'm liking the look of a MK2.5 Zetec with sports pack - the sport pack alloys are much nicer than the alloys offered on the mk2 sport pack, plus you also get privacy glass! The new blues, Avalon and Vision also look much nicer than on the configurator.

That colour appears to be Avalon - the replacement for Tonic, it looks better in the pic than it does on the website - the mk2.5 is growing on me more and more
-
Its not just me that gets excited by things like that then :o
-
I think I remember reading that Ford adopt a Trend and Core colour policy - the trends colours will only be around a couple of years and will then get replaced by a similar or more fashionable colour, where as the core colour may last through several models ;)
-
I think so, I have it, not that useful to be honest ;)

Correct! Aquarius blue and Tonic are amongst the colours discontinued :(

Yes, you can get ones with an Auto box, they only come as a petrol now, but some early diesels had auto's.

Phillips X-treme power won the 50 plus category for Auto Express 2007 bulb test ;) May be worth a shot if you fancy getting rid of the standard stuff again 8)

definatly mate id want the head taken of to check the bore and rings or a boreascop (sp) down to check it out , compression tests , sump taken of to check for metal fillings the lot . no way would i take my car back with some oil stuck in it  Thanks for that guys. I have passed a copy of the thread to my neighbour. He is hopefully going to join the FFOC anyway. When he eventually gets the car back, he is going to book it in somewhere for a thorough check of the engine. Pete id tell him not to take the car back as once he has it will be a dam sight harder to get it back in if it do

Here is how to remove the new gen units, shamelessly nicked from the STOC! I've spent all day playing around with the headunit and this is what I've found: With the new head unit, you can't remove it with 4 keys like you used to be able to do with the old one. So I've got 4 head unit keys that will be going on ebay fairly soon as they're useless to me! You have to remove all of the surround to the headunit and the a/c and then remove the 4 bolts holding the headunit into the frame and then you're sorted. Removing the surround is tricky, I ended up pulling it off gently using 3 small sc
