I have no doubt you will beat me at the lights. After all, you sound like an extremely talented and intelligent person. However, that still doesn't have anything to do with your "fact" that the esp reduces the amount of turbo used. If the wheels are spinning or you lose yaw traction the power will be released and individual wheels will have the brakes applied. If the wheels are not spinning then the turbo can do what it likes, esp or no esp. Drive carefully.

It's the turbo. Ford have tuned acoustics to channel good sounds (turbo whistle, exhaust and engine noise) into the car and keep bad sounds (wind and road noise) out.

It was/is an unregistered delivery mileage ST2 in Performance Blue. Very unpopular :roll: The dealer in question is Platts of Marlow who also have some other specs in stock, a few of them in that unpopular blue

Has anyone got pictures of an aftermarket hands free kit fitted to a Mk2 Focus? My company will be paying to have one fitted to my ST when it arrives. I can pretty much choose where the cradle sits but I'd like some advice on where you guys have got them fitted in the car.

The ST1 comes without the heated screen. I would check to see if they've actually given you an ST2 or just a high spec ST1 :shock:

Apparently if it senses you preparing for a full bore standing start (i.e. handbrake on, revs at 4000rpm, foot on clutch, 1st gear selected) it extends the revs to 7000rpm. This is what evo mag said in the GTI shootout this month.

I'm in pretty much the same position. I ordered mine through a broker in November for a March delivery. I can understand on the face of it why they're doing this but it's a very short sighted view. If they want to protect residuals for owners and the brand then they need to look a bit closer to home and the privilege discounts. In 9 months time there will be a glut of second hand cars on the market. The market price of these cars is dictated by what these privilege owners will be selling for. If they are happy with losing 5% of the value in 9 months then there is you market price. How
