  8. I'm going to try changing my oil myself for the first time!!! Borrowed a mates oil vacuum thingy. Probably use it to drain most of the oil and then open the sump for the last bit. (saves me destroying the driveway hopefully) Don't have axle stands etc.. so hopefully access to sump/filter won't be too difficult! Any opinions on that???. Going to see what oil is about in local motor factors/supermarkets/Ford etc.. for best price. (only getting something decent though)
  9. Before you get it done by a dealer, if you got it from owner then the code should be in the manual (which would be in with car/service manual holder) or else there will a sticker stuck on the radio.. Just give the owner a shout, should be willing to help. Frwoned upon as people buying stolen radios I guess.

Mate from work is loaning me his oil vacuum, and will get the oil and filter. Pads are in good condition so no need for anything there. Only issue I have and maybe someone on here can help.....my handbrake is not so hot!! first 4 clicks don't stop the car, 5and 6th do but not very well. So has anybody tighten their handbrake correctly on their MK2 and would like to share the method.???? Apart from that all bases covered for a ro

  17. Recently have noticed a noise from the rear of the car (internal noise) - happens mainly when going over ramps and the like. Investigated and I think it could be the grey plastic panel on the interior of the boot door. (drove around without the cover and heard nothing). Now I need a hand from someone on here. I recently replaced my boot switch which involved removing the panel to get to the switch. I think the noise is from the plastic part hitting the rear screen..just where the plastic curves for the wiper. Can anyone have a look to see if there is a piece of rubber (or even just bu

  24. I guess after thinking about it, you could mount the 3.5mm socket anywhere on the surrounds or around the handbrake etc... once there is room behind to get it inserted....just for those who have all the blanking plates used up!!!!! It will be the same procedure.
