Jamz, Have you experimented in what size drive it can handle? I mean i have a few 300gb USB HD's, would be nice to have one of them hooked up to the USB port.

Jamz, nice will look at the specs for that! Did you get it to work with the MIC? What i might do is use the video input on them to hook my carputer up to and set it just for the digital gauages and diagnostics, then used a track ball or summit.

What you got in your motor? I was gonna put in a Carputer but seen as im not keeping the car (about another year) I dont want to install the parts i have already got. Has anybody managed to use the current microphone (ICE PACK) on a aftermarket HU?

There are a pair on the doors on the inside of the wing mirrors and the two in the rear by the normal ones.

For some reason i always seem the get the worst stone chips, especially compared to the mk1's. They just seem to love the front of my car and when they hit they dent and a little scratch line above it :evil:

p5byn, i would suggest get a diesel, i learnt in a diesel and found it alot easier as you dont have to be as careful with the clutch. once i passed i found it easier to adjust to a petrol as i didnt have somebody looking over my shoulder.

No, IIRC you either get a single MP3 compatible or the 6 normal cd.There are aftermarket units availiable which can do that but they are starting to get replaced with DVD mp3's.

Saw a mk2.5 earlier still not to sure about that back lip, but the color of the car was aweful, it was like a dark purply type thing, at first i thought it was black but when i got close and the sun on it. Just looked disgusting, what are the colours availiable?
