  1. Hi, I did initially think it could of been that.. it was already tight though when pulled under normal pressure, but when applying extra force i managed to pull it up a bit more.. but it was still creaking. So I dont think its that.
  2. Hi, as of today.. well today was first time i noticed. When i got out of the car i heard a creak from the back, and when i bounced the suspension it keeps creaking now somewhere at the back. Anybody had this problem before? Also, because the car is out of its 1st year warranty.. still has 2 years remaining under "Ford Direct" is this something the dealer will fix? I have the car already booked in on tuesday for a replacement weatherstrip they damaged so if this is a warranty item i will get them to fix this creak at the same time. lol car is litterally only 12 1/2 months old.. so sur
  3. how quickly do you let the pump fill your car? because in the past i noticed that if the pump is filling slow enough it actually doesnt cut out, lol was filling really slowly on another car trying to put in as much as possilbe because the fuel kept foaming up.. nexting thing i knew it was all over the floor.
  4. I havent had the exact problem... but several times, or in fact almost every time ive stalled the car and started it up straight away its flashed up on the dash "power steering failure" but then it just goes away and everything works normal with no fault codes logged.. have no idea what causes it to do it.. so i just assumed it is a normal message to pop up under certain circumstances. If it flashed up with that error, and genuinely had failed or didnt work then id be worried lol, but everything seems to work fine.
  5. thought it was EBD? "Electronic Brakeforce Distribution" Also has the ABS "Anti-lock Braking System" , ESP "Electronic Stability Program" and Traction Assist. and also EBA "Electronic Brake Assist" As far as I know, the system will also flash the hazards when braking hard in an emergency, although ive had to do this once and didnt whitness it.. must have to brake extremely hard to activate lol
  6. if not they could be for adaptive lighting.
  7. Hi, I know its Volvo, but they are owned by ford, and the 2 companies share some of their engines between brands. http://www.volvocars.com/uk/tools/Owner ... A%20v3.pdf Also found this, http://www.ford.co.uk/OwnerServices/Veh ... alProducts
  8. Hi, currently the ford oil is rebranded castrol oil. Ford use castrol in the factory, picked up a leaflet the other week in the dealer saying "Ford Recomend Castrol" and something along the lines of "we use it in our cars in the factory" then on the back of the ford oil it says "BP Lubricants" which owns castrol. I also Brought some magnatec the other day, small top up bottle from the dealer and it had written on the back "recomended by ford" So the ford oil is basically just a basic castrol oil, and the magnatec is a premium oil recomended by ford... its definitely recomended by ford
  9. your supposed to remove the scuttle panel to top up.. should only be a case of removing the wiper arms and possibly 2 screws although all i could see was a few metal clips then you have full access. Alot of faffing around though for such a simple job lol. Should try the steering fluid resevoir on a 2.0...its located underneath the drivers side headlamp litterally impossible to get to above... to top up they eigther remove the headlamp or do it from underneath on a ramp.. although even underneath would be quite akward. Presumebly as you said its something they only want touched by dealers
  10. didnt think there was an official ford manual now as such.. all done online through Etis where you have to pay to basically rent the informatoin you require for a limited period.
  11. Hi, all bulbs are standard on mine:) has the bluetooth voice control as well.
  12. Hi, Sidelights, Dip Beam, Main Beam, Front Foglights,
  13. Hi, because its a Titanium, it has 8 speakers. 1 main one in each door, which makes up the 4. then it has a tweeter in the 2 back doors (small round thing) each side. and a further 2 at the front. in the plastic panel behind the door mirrors. Will try and get some pics of those, and upload those. np.
  14. Hi, heres the pics of the interior of the MK2.5 Titanium TDCi with Sport Pack. and DVD Sat Nav... without the DVD Sat Nav the screen in the middle of the dials is smaller, standard is like 'robshorts' not much different to the MK2 apart from the dials and centre console as far as I know. if you would like any more images I will take some:)
  15. yea, so I dont know why they cant just carry it accross.. same engine so it shouldnt matter what car its in.. mechanics of the engine and specificatinos are the same..plus I thought most if not all of the mk2 focus petrol engines were duratec HEs
  16. lol whys that? it should do.. haynes covered the duratec HE engine even in the previous mondeo manual. so they have done instructions on the duratec he engine.

  18. Hi, never actually changed one, as ive only owned mine for a few weeks, But I think it is usually changed as part of the yearly service. Found this though, if its any help.
  19. hi, thanks for the reply. Shouldnt be, on the mk2.5 and 2 as far as I know keys can only be coded to the imobilizer by a dealer. I certainly had to have mine done by the dealer.. most expensive key ive ever brought. something in the region of £90 for the key, and another £90 for programming it. key certainly starts the car up... if this code was logged when I was attempting to code the key myself, then I would of expected the dealer to of cleared it when programming the new key, I was told they do checks for updates etc as a standard procedure any time they plug it in.
  20. Hi, just put the dash into test mode, and it came up with DTC 1# 9601 Plugged my OBDII scanner in though and its not showing any error codes.. so im assuming its a code from another system.. dont have any warning lights on the dash or anything but would like to know what this code is so I can get it sorted out if its a problem. Thanks In Advance.

  22. Hi, http://www.waynealton.myfreeola.com/ima ... ocus_a.jpg - Titanium http://p.webwombat.com.au/motoring/imag ... -1-big.jpg - ST judging by the images, as I myself own a Titanium, doesnt look like the ST grill is possible to fit, as it has been designed to suit the lines of the bumper and sideskirts. Grill looks slightly wider, and is flat in the 2 lower corners, whereas on the Titanium it seems to flare upwards. only the top part on the bumper is possible to fit I think as it is just a piece of orange trim instead of the chrome trim.
  23. hi, would of thought a 10mm wider tyre would require a 10mm wider rim
  24. could be wrong, but it probably doesnt have one, because it is a can bus based system. and switches no longer directly control lights.. instead they send a signal to the GEM and the GEM is what switches on the lights. which is why if you dont quite flip the indicators up or down it will only flash a few times on its own.
