Disconnect the battery and lock the doors manually maybe? This will reset the ECU too so anything dodgy may be sorted out.

My 2005 MK2 sounds quite rattly too, with a definite tappety noise when its under light load at about 2000-3000 rpm. It sounds fvcked tbh but im not worried lol if it goes pop ill stick an RS lump in its wake haha

That doesnt however mean its going to be abused and draped in tack from halfords! As you can see it's been tastefully modified already :)

Oh yeah I know about braking and handling in little cars with big engines lol Ive done 2 engine conversions before with help. I did a 1.6 gti engine in a K reg 1.4 xt Peugeot 106 and helped my mate with his calibra turbo engined corsa B 8) Ive got the general Idea of what I want but like I said im not massively knowledgeable on ford engines. Do ford do any fairly recent 4 cylinder petrol turbo engines?

Sucking IN the exhaust? It would be blowing out if anything dude. You sure its not the inlet manifold sucking air? That could be your power loss. Just keep a close eye on all your levels but im guessin its just the snow playing with your mind lol take the advice of a mechanic, dont worry, until it breaks... lol

I would of thought it would have it on yours. Take it back to the dealers and ask them if they can fit one for free because you thought it came with one! lol You never know till you ask! lol

Stuff that, I've put 6000K ones in my standard headlights and all you need to do is get the levels set right by a garage. Make sure the leveler is on zero first though. Otherwise when you do put it on zero, it raises the beams to illegal levels as you probably know. Most of the time I drive around with it set on number 2. Because I have had one or 2 cars flash me even with it correctly set to zero. ;)

Yeah it gets on my nipples too lol and yeah go into it and it'll say your setings or something and you can turn noise on and off and change from km/ltr to mpg and change all your units and everythin :)

could be power steering pump believe it or not. Mine went on my 1.6 zetec mk2 earlier this month. Same symptoms. Lack of power (only slight) burning smell and the obvious whiney noise of a nackered PS pump lol If its only just started leaking you wont hear the whine yet. Check you PS fluid level and put some paper under your car on left hand side of the engine and lock to lock it a few times. check for oil on the paper. Unless its got one of those hidious s**t deflectors covering everything up. Then you just wont be able to tell! :P

Hi all, ive got my focus zetec and want to give it a little bit more and ive thought about getting it remapped. Does anyone know how much power it'll give me approximately? I recon it'll cost upwards of £300 so I dont want to have it done and then it be a total flop still lol Mods done already: Ive already got a K&N style airfilter and a cat back exhaust system on it and it seems to rev a bit free-er, might just be me though but Im sure its done something because the standard zorst syetem was a real power sapping looking thing. More or less standard but ive recently took focus zetec badges off the back because they looked gay lol Its now got a cat-back powerflow exhaust system and a K&N Style air filter and she runs a 17.4 at 77mph at the owd pod :P
