I like your constructive comments! Firstly, I do like the Focus ST, otherwise I wouldnt own one! With the money I spent on buying the Focus ST I could afford a Focus RS, but I didnt, I chose the Focus ST. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so some might prefer the look of the RS some might prefer the look of the ST. In my personal opinion I because the wide arches and road presense I prefer the look of the RS. Yes the ST beat the RS around the ring, but I wouldnt expect anything less, you are comparing a 2.5ltr turbo vs a 2.0ltr turbo, so the ST will have more power at top speeds

Dont get me wrong, I never said the ST looked ugly or anything of the sort, I am merely stating the ST doesnt look worlds apart from any other MKII Focus. I wouldnt own one if I thought they were ugly! :)

The Fiesta RS and Focus RS were not "scrapped" as such, I would say they were "shelved" whilst Ford TeamRS finished the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, SAV & the Mondeo ST, after those projects are finished, who knows if they will look on the shelf again? :)

I find with my new ST, when you get the "red area" on the rev's dial, thats the ideal time to change!

It just gives a red glow over the gearstick & handbrake. A gimmick really, I dont really even notice it!

In the manual it clearly states the run in period being 1000 miles, and to do a range of speeds in this perioud also. Id rather beleive a written manual then some "dealership" :D

Well I was in my Focus ST yesterday and guess what came up beside me egging me for a race? Yep an VXR!! I didnt race it as im still breaking my car in, but he roared off and I must admit it sounded very nice and looked pretty fast too!

Agreed. Agreed also. The car had it's first clean today (so much bloody salt on the roads this time of year!) Shes gleaming just like the day she came out of the garage again. Bought some blue lined car matts from Halfords as well. Im really enjoying the car, gave it a bit of a boot down the carriageway today, sounds sooooo nice! I'll try and get some good quality pics and videos up next weekend!

Yes, but remember it is a new engine, once ive got to 1000 miles then a more accurate reading can be taken - also this is only what the computer averages out from the entire time ive had the car (and a lot of this has been cold start, town driving) with only one long motorway journey. Look at it like this: Ive covered over 400 miles costing me around £60 in Premium Unleaded/Optimax fuel - I dont think this is too bad for a NEW 2.5 turbo engine? Other peoples opinions?? Please comment...

I have had my Focus ST2 for a week now, and I have covered over 400 miles already (it’s amazing how quickly the miles rack up when visiting relatives!!). Anyway I just thought id share with you my first impressions of the new Focus ST. When you first sit inside the interior looks very flush, the dashboard is made of a rubbery type plastic that gives it a more valued feel, there are plenty of chrome plastic bits to make it look the part also. When I picked up my Focus ST2, I got a Flip Key, I just assumed they were all going to be like this??

The ST is already in production, these cars that people are seeing are from the production line!
