WARNING! I say it how i see it, im blunt and to the point but I know my FORD stuff.
  1. the boot should not open unless you press the seperate boot button or use the handle/switch on the tailgate lid
  2. it does not have 7 gears at all its constantly variable, for have civen you the option to selet a range of 7 gear ratios from the infinate number, withing= the programing
  3. they need configuring with wds and a tsb doing to the wiring loom
  4. we dont get any washer bottles leakig but what the hell are you using for screen wash if it effect tarmac? fuel consumption is normal, do a search on here. to ahcive that ford dont actually drive the car its all done in a labority under 110% ideal conditions sorry but you will have to acept that one. have you not got another dealer to take ur custom to?
  5. er new pad to new disks should be square and take very little wear to bed in.
  6. doubt you could save it all, hence the reason ford give dealers an offline version on dvd, but this need validating before it can be used unlike the impersonater above we use that as its far quicker, and only go online when we want the latest info as should be done
  7. its all in your rac/owners hand book, its not the dealers job to recover it, thats whay ford give u RAC
  8. rac should have taken your car to dealer, dealer wont pick it up
  9. dealer should be able to read the last triggers that caused to alarm to sound, thn work from there
  10. dont see it as picking on me? you dont need it on all time a just use it now and then
  11. they can suffer a similar problem but the fix is not aplicable, done a couple of valves. also look for oil around the bellows between air filter and turbo, if you have some the metal pipe will be splitting , this is giving us concern at moment had 5 last week one this
  12. yup AC will take around 10bhp from your engine when on, never mind low or full. the only time pcm switches it off is in over heat conditions to try to look after the engine or when it sees WOT (wide open throttle) where is will cut out the compressor to give u max BHP so the flat spot is noticable, more so on lower power engines
  13. its because air con take around 10 bhp to run, it will only switch off when ur on full throttle wanting max power, otherwise if its on it uses power from the engine and the 1.6 vtc is low powered at the bottom end as its design is for town driving and economy
