so would you buy a car that would not move off the forecourt????? "What to look for If the car has an electronic handbrake, check that it will come off. If it stays on the car won't pull away properly and there will be a warning light on the dashboard.. (This part of the check continue in the guide, but there isn’t room here) What it means (if you find this fault) The handbrake needs software updates to remedy the problem. What to do (your options) Have a diagnostics check completed by a specialist before buying." What a waste of money

if the car is effected it will come up when they do an oasis report at the dealer. Andy you can get it done now, there was a programing issue with the file on the cd at the time

Mastertech, Im delighted at the information you post on this forum, it really helps when trying to get faults diagnosed at the dealers. I have one question though - no faults of the EGR in 3 months of production is fine, but my concern is...what about faults in cars that have had the problems and now had the new EGR fix? Mines in the garage now to get done. Im fairly confident that it will be an end to my woes, but looking around the posts on this forum, its a little confusing...people saying they have had the fix and it hasnt worked? However, on investigation it seems they maybe didnt actual
