your right garck, at 85-90 the car seems happy to cruise along, to be honest ive never really driven it at 56mph on a motorway. do you drive over germany often? i love driving over there although the speed cameras are :evil: :twisted: were in germany are you?

i think ill stick to the engine noise and big grin on my way to work than drive at 56mph :D not that there is anything against it but driving at 56 all day then doing it in my car would kill me :!: :!:

thats my problem, it sounds wicked when giving it some! and the handling is top drawer so it cheers me up on the way to work :D suppose ill have to put up with it :(

i do a fair mix of a/b roads and motorway driving and am only getting 31.5, the best i have had is 32.8 and that was sat on motorways all the way from germany. i do have very heavy right foot though

mine is the ti-vct and only 31.1 at the minute

ive had my car 12 months and its done 13,000 miles and im only getting 31.5 at the very best

why have a s-max when you have kids?????????????? i have a 3 door zetec climate and ive got a 18 month old and my wife is due to have our second child in january. just because you have kids that doesnt mean nice or moddified cars go out the window. if i could afford to buy one and run it id get it now without a doubt, get a 5 door and if/when you decide to have kids they are still as practical or even get a 3 door like me ha ha ah

i just use the normal 95 ron stuff, i have put v-power etc in and to be honest ive not noticed a difference. ive always thought the engine managment has been programmed to run on the lowest ron rating as standard, maybe somebody with more technical knowledge can help us both out
