  1. I had this problem with mine It ended up one of the sensors was fitted the wrong way up!!!
  2. That would be kevin davies you are thinking of
  3. My foci (2.0 TDCi) went in to Rates of Grays today for some warrenty work and on collection my wife was told that they had done a service racall on the alternater whilst it was in (something to do with the engine running lumpy/cutting out in cold weather) Does anyone know what this could have been?
  4. I have a 2.0 TDCi estate (see it in the mk2 gallery), and I think it has a wonderful engine - I think that is a good choice As for trim level, it has to be a titanium If you get a zetec/zetec climate, do you fancy swapping headlights.(I want the darker ones)
  5. You often see trucks driving during the night with red lights in their cabs, this is the same thing I use it a lot when i'm night driving as it takes some of the glare from oncoming headlights(although it isn't so good on unlit country lanes) Some drivers say it also helps the keep alert/awake when night driving
  6. foxyfocus thats looking really nice  I think the colour coded front fog surrounds make such a differance
  7. How is it being driven?!!! Is it being driven hard?... you well get greater breakwear if it is!!! Is it an automatic?... these have greater breakwear especially if driven "two footed"!!! Do you carry much weight?.. this will increase you breakwear!!! It may still need looking at by your dealer hope this helps
  8. looks like i may be going to Halfrauds tomorrow.....wheres my paint brush  BTW Foxyfocus I discovered yesterday that the Mk2 zetec/zetec climte has "special dark headlights". I'm toying with a pair for my foci, but spoke to Fords yesterday and was quoted £120 for each headlight as you can't just replace the glass!!!
  9. What paint did you use on the calipers? I have thought about painting mine but not sure what colour( have a look at my foci in the Mk2 gallery and let me know what you think!!)
  10. I can't beleive there are still only 8 cars on the Mk2 gallery There must be more Mk2 owners than that in this club!!!!
  11. I might just be ding this to mine!!!
  12. I don't know if brake fluid is the same as it used to be, but don't get it on your paintwork as it strips your paint!!!!. If you get it on your paintwork, wash it straight off with water(you may already know this). As for the fluid level drop, it my just be down to breakwear although it does sound a bit excessive.
  13. I look in here every day...just don't see many people here
  14. Just to let you know..... I have been PMed by Peapod who had the same problem with his 2.0 titanium. His was repaired by Fords without removing the engine..although they did damage an aircon pipe in the process  ... this may be a known problem but most people don't know what to listen for!!!!
  15. ''...love the nickname though! Are you sure its a Focus you've got... not a big american brown pickup truck?!! '' Thats cos I'm the unknown stuntman  By the way, that makes a great avatar thanks for finding that
  16. Car:- 54 plate 2.0Tdci titaniun estate With the engine on tic-over i have been having a quiet but noticable air hiss from peddle box area. I also noticed that when the brake was depressed, the noise went away. :? Went down to my local Ford dealer and they have confirmed my supisions of an air leak from the brake servo!!!! :( This I'm told is a big job .... the engine has to come out to do it!!, so the car is now booked in for 3 days later this month to sort it out. Thank God it is still under warrenty. Has anyone else had this problem?
  17. thanks Minsterman but i wonder if yours may be rust on the face of the disc which you get especialy if it has been sat for a while in the rain! - mine seams to be all the time. i have a little bit of mechinical knowledge which is why i wanted to know if this is normal for this model
  18. does it all the time - the pads are definatly not down to the metal but i get this grinding all the time! before the foci , i had a 53 plate mondeo zetec s and that didn't do it ,so i wondered if anyone else had any experience of this.
