  1. Cheers jamz, what side's are the tangs that you actualy lever then, left and right or up and down?
  2. Hi, does anyone know (that has done it) how to remove the headlight switch in the mk2, does it just prise out or is it screwed in on the back?
  3. It will instantly turn of the interior scan. When you have locked the car to make sure the cat doesnt set the alarm off when you have unlocked it again to let the cat out the system will be reset meaning that when you lock it back up again the interior scan will be active.
  4. Not sure on the mirrors, on other models there has been part wiring, some with none, not sure what the facelift mk2 has to be honest. If you press that button on the drivers door you turn the interior scan off , when you lock the car then deadlaock it will do everything normal other than use the interior scan function. Its so you can leave a dog or someone in the car but the car cant be highjacked etc.
  5. well as mentioned, flick the light out and unplug the one spade connector and it will cease to enlighten your life.
  6. Anto, you will have heated washer jets if you have heated mirrors, to check, lift the bonnet and see if you have a plug at each washer jet for the power.
  7. It wont de-activate the ABS as that is a must have safety feature. It will turn on the stability program for one ignition cycle thats it. The titanium does have the thatcham one system on it but when you told your insurnace the reg of the car it should of said it was fitted anyway (mine did as I have a titanium) therefore any discount was applyed straight off. As for that de-activation switch for the interior scan, I dont have dogs or kids so have never used it ever...lol
  8. Hi Bernard, that might not be a bad idea mate, unless you can whip it out and take some pictures as it will be how it fits to the car that I need to find out about. Great of you to help out though mate, thanks very much.
  9. Think they are all red arnt they? My titanium is red.
  10. You need to insert a thin blade between the light unit itself and the plastic surround which it sits in. You do it window screen side, if you get your head up there and look you can just see the little metal tang that you press in, this will release the light. Unplug the various plugs depending on your spec of light, you will see the screw for the antenna underneath, I would see if you can tighten this up first, if there is movement then tightening it back up should do the trick. If you need to use sealant then anything with antimould pvc stuff will do I should think.
  11. So then, can some one please explain to me how these items fit into a 2006 focus that had the original black sony that lit up green in the first place. The parts man told me I needed those bottom bits but they dont fit in anywhere, the have a little plastic spigot that should push into a hole that doesnt exist on my car. Any help from someone who has done this would be great.
  12. Is this you Bernard? On that plug aswell is the two wires that go to the plug in the light surround for the bluetooth speaker. They only go as far as that grey plug. (its black and a red & white) Take the pins out of the bluetooth patch loom and slide them into the two spare slots on the grey plug.
  13. Hmm,could be a fauty ring sensor but that should give you an abs fault on the dash. The brake could be binding anyway which means its always rubbing, that could be because they were put together/set wrong last time they were serviced or because the caliper is sticking. I know on old Fords the rear handbrake mechanism used to stick and cause it to bind. Try jacking up that side of the car, just so the wheel is off the road and spin the wheel. it should turn no trouble with just a small hizz as the pad brushes the disk lightly.
  14. Im aware of that now, thanks for your message.
  15. Ha ha, ive calmed down now. I spoke to my mate at ford and he told me there is a bracket. It may well be the same thing you have shown in that picture Ronaldo. The only problem with that is a brought the carbon fibre surround for the second generation sony so if I have to use that adaptor plate like in the above picture then that was a waste of money. Ford also supplied me with green heated seat swtiches when I quite clearly asked for red. Nutters. One good thing, bluetooth voice control is in and works perfect even though when it wasnt attached the sterio didnt have the option in the menu
  16. Well, here I was led to believe that you can change from the green sony that came as the top of the range headunit in the mk2 (lights green) to the later sony that lights red in the mk2.5. What a load of rubbish that is. The second generation sony bolts into place where there isnt any bolt holes on the earlier dash as the earlier sony just clips in. Thanks alot to all the know it alls who know nothing. I think there should be a rule that people who havnt actully done a mod should not post their "2p worth". I apologise for the rant because there is alot of people who do know their stuff on here
  17. Try ebay, there is some on there. although not very good but depends what you after.
  18. I'll have a price on some uprated ST disks mate, Can you get any other manufacturers like tar-ox and stuff like that?
  19. Hey, can you get that kit at cost price all the time or was it a once only thing? Any mech who is worth their weight can change brakes and calipers. Braided hoses are treated the same as flexi hoses, just dont kink or trap them.
  20. Eldue is right, they will go behind 18" and above but not below 18" as the caliper as two big to clear the bore of the alloy wheel. Nayan, you will need some brake fluid aswell becuase you will be removing your old flexi hose and fitting the braided one's. Minimun requirement is DOT 4 for the focus I believe but if you have an easy bleed you could change it to dot five. How much did you pay for the disks, pads and hoses then, it sounds a nice upgrade.
  21. My derv is sitting at around 1750 in 6th at 70mph, and the computer reads 59mpg.
  22. No they dont, and they mark really easy. Do look good in black though. Their the fastest one's you know..... :D
  23. I'll send you the box and the sensors mate when I sort the connection to the car for my ford one's if you still need them when I have it done.
  24. The ford sensors have three wires each so dont think the speedsafe box is set up to work with that im afraid.
