  1. Ha ha, I like your style mate...lol Well im looking forward to getting them in as I hate green!
  2. Ha ha yeah. Im worried though as the dude at Ford said you can pretty much scrap the car if the immobiliser data is lost or corrupted
  3. I thought that, Fancy John managing to get he's dials done before the guy won some lotto thing. John, what you doing with all your blue switches? Did you ST have Detac?
  4. If you have paid 700 pound for the clocks they would be brand new and can be programmed to your car by ford no problem. Its second hand one's that cant be reprogrammed as they have been programmed to match the ignition and ecu etc of another car.
  5. If you remove the carpet on the drivers side of the boot, if you have the 12v socket you will see an orange wire taped in the loom there. I think its only +ve though so you need to add a earth in either the same size wire or the next size up.
  6. Dont just fit a switch to the airbag one as you will create a airbag system fault, you have to have the module programed aswell as the key switch in the glove box.
  7. Mine has just passed an MOT with ford xenons retro fitted which has left the in car adjuster useless.
  8. Ford one's are cheaper than Halford Bosch one's and do the job just fine, plus they have the little exposure circle on them.
  9. IIf you have global closing, with your windows down, lock then deadlock the car then hold down the lock button, if you have it the windows will go up!! Hold the unlock button and they will go back down!
  10. It can be but you have to remove your dash, change the dash loom, fit a new heater box and all the associated parts like sun light sensor etc. Really not worth it. I believe its harder to do on the mk2 than it is was on the mk1 aswell.
  11. Its under the nearside post and a to remove it its a good tug, it will have three serated plastic clips holding it in. Be prepared to break one though as ford plastics are cack.
  12. Your meant to press it twice arnt you? All my Ford Focuses have only opened with two quick clicks of the boot release button.
  13. The wheel arch liner is held on by around 5 torx bolts so its pretty easy to remove, you will have two hidden at the front of the arch but on the underside, behind the bumper if you like. :-)
  14. Why dont you get a flexible necked funnel? Simples :-)
  15. It kind of varies dealer to dealer mate, I would of said a minimum charge of an hours labour, about £65. I think if people have the correct software and a laptop it can be done without a trip to ford aswell.
  16. The Sony's are all compatible as such, but some might require an update by Ford to enable it in the menu.
  17. Maybe try some black tiger seal or some silicon sealant. A another idea is nip down to a window screen company and kindly ask them to glue it back down with whatever they use.
  18. It cant be done without spending a packet on a brand new set of dials. Dials out of another focus cant be flashed and re-programmed by Ford. Only a brand spanking un-programmed set of dials can be used. Price, around 700 quid. The other idea is have all the green SMD's changed to another colour. Wolf tuning can do this with a guaranty I believe.
  19. To be honest I wouldn't get that excited. Haynes manuals now days are pretty useless unfortunately.
  20. Its tricky to get your hand in but it can be done without to much trouble, From memory Remove glove box lid and glove box inner, (for ease of access, optional) Remove carpet from under fuse box Drop fuse box down Undo two bolts and remove fuse box bracket & move fuse box to one side Under three bolts on filter shield Remove filter Re-fit new filter
  21. Drive shafts are not an overly hard job to do although you have to remove the wheel hub off the end before you can pull them out, that means removing tie rod arms and link rods, also you might have to separate the bottom ball joint for ease of access. I know the old style drive shaft used to have a cir-clip in a groove which held it in to the final drive that was a case of a good pull to get them out.
  22. Have you modded the lamp plugs then Tezza because they dont fit normally do they?
  23. The plugs are different mate and the wires are all black inside the lamps so it would be easier to find some loom and plug from a 07> car as well else it will involve some identification of wire colours. Not rocket science if your capable!
  24. Dont fit petrol springs to a diesel, The diesel is a heavier car and the springs rates are different as well as the diesel having stronger springs. Eibach do a diesel set that you can buy through Ford!
