Not the same engine in the mondeo. Its a puma engine built in dagenham. The max has a peugeot engine. :o

Should have learnt my lesson i guess, but my first TDCI was faultless. Apart from economy. You just keep hoping they will get it sorted. Bloody French engines

Chris. My 2.0 tdci is lumpy at tickover and stutters at around 1800 rpm. Not all the time just when keeping it constant, taking it easy. Really annoying. My first max engine was perfect, really gutsy. This one is pants :evil: Will be ordering an S max very soon. Hopefully the pants peugeot lump will be sorted by then

The ST wheels have 235 rubber on them. The titanium i didnt look at. They were 17 inch though. The ST jobbys look so much nicer. Pretty sure they are extra cost option. Should be standard on the 2.5 turbo :x

Tes. The wheels you are talking about are on the titanium 2.5 turbo. The st wheels were on the zetec diesels. Work that out :shock: They were all loaded with extras. Twin roofs were nice. Seats are real comfy too. Much better than the c max :wink:

Saw 6 s max come off the boat last week. Very nice.

I will be getting one. Not the pimped up jobby though. The standard one looks good enough.

Sounds like you had some bad luck. First max was 2.0tdci ghia. No probs at all apart from the recalls. On my 2nd one now 2.0tdci ghia with leather this time. Only done 250 miles so far but all ok. Engine sounds more rattly than the last one but hope it sorts its self out with a few more miles on the clock. Good luck if you get another and could not blame you for going for something else.

Have got a 54 plate 2.0 tdci have had no problems so far, done 9000 miles. Get around 37-40 mpg around town 45-55 mpg on a run. Would buy another one no problem. One of the best cars i have had. Go for it. Just out of interest what deal are they giving you. Good luck.

Hello My journeys are around 8-9 miles and only around town. Mine is a 2.0 tdci the same as yours and on the fuel computer, its usually between the late 36mpg up to early 38mpg. Not driving it for economy either, so i think your figures are very poor. Get down the dealers and give it to them. You should get a minimum of 35mpg around town no matter how you drive it.
