  1. there's no way a 12mth old 'new shape' st will cost 11k, i think the st3 will be around the 14/15k mark after 12mths - are these trade in prices tho? then i could believe that price drop
  2. looks great, but get a sponge to it asap! :)
  3. Use the needle to judge your speed, this is what gives you a little leeway. Don't know about the 05 focus welshade, but previous models have the digital speedo built into the trip computer - something like, have engine switched off, hold down trip computer button, start engine wait for dials to spin round, then release button and click the button to pan through various options like: digital speed in mph, temps, error codes etc.etc there is a post somewhere about it
  4. i would think you could change your mind, but do it soon to be sure, afaik, ~£18.5k for the 5door ST
  5. Didn't the original focus have this problem - WatchDog syndrome Can you give it back under the lemon law
  6. i get some right belters from the mki
  7. 2.0 MKI - 130bhp - 0-60: 9.2 secs 30-60: 9.5 secs 2.0 MKII - 145bhp - 0-60: 9.2 secs 30-60: 11.9secs Where abouts does it 'crap all over it'?
  8. Man, I would have let loose on that Ford guy, cheeky * * * * - arghh, hope u get it sorted soon
  9. Don't know about the new focus, but my heated front screen was replaced in under 30 mins by Autoglass; although they advise to leave for a good 24 hours before driving.
  10. I've heard you need to remove the front bumper to replace a headlight bulb on the Seat Leon... lmao, imagine that at the roadside
  11. am i right in thinking u can get 3 points and 60 pound fine for not having widescreen fluid? :x slim to no chance of happening, but none the less, crime committing, tell that to ford customer care
  12. I've test driven a mkII 1.6 and it is noticeably slower than the mkI 2.0, as you would expect really, 2nd and 3rd gear really are in a different league in the 2.0 - haven't driven the 2.0 petty mkII yet, but I imagine it be a little quicker than the mkI, more power but also more weight. Having also driven the 2.0 mkII TDCi I would opt for that over the 1.6mkII and 2.0mkI petrols.
  13. I noticed that the other night too - also the estate advert the steering wheel is on the left...
  14. I can't say I really like it, but it looks a hell of a lot better than most I have seen, it is a lovely colour and I especially like the interior --- I would have bargained for a free upgrade on the 17s or shelled out the 200 for them, but that's up to you - hope it serves u well mate - I'm sure it will look different shortly :D
  15. I had the impression they were, but I'm not so sure now - the 21W ones seem to be road legal; so I wonder why the side repeaters aren't :?
  16. I'm looking for a set of silvertec side repeater bulbs for the MAX, am I right in thinking they are the same as the focus? I had a look on ESP: http://www.espdesign.co.uk/udp.asp?cat= ... l=&udp=760 but it states that they are not road legal Where do you get yours from? Cheers Dan :D
  17. Overall, I think the car was great, very spacious, comfy and quiet - the cabin does feel very solid, with no squeaks or rattles. I was expecting the ride to be a bit 'van like' into the corners but was pleasantly surprised how it gripped the road and cornered fairly flatly esp. for a tall car - although, it doesn't seem to have the same amount of feedback as the MKI focus, but I also felt that from the MKII focus - a bit too 'power assisted'. The engine, 1.8 duratec, was very quiet and quite perky, it does sit a bit higher up the rev range with a shorter final drive than the focusMKI, bu
  18. 2.0TDCI Zetec - 2003.75 seems to be the problem pony then
  19. You can if it sends you home in a box
  20. It sounds like the FOCUS it's a bit safer than the Picasso (EuroNCAP) CMAX The Focus C-MAX has a strong and stable passenger safety cell which provides balanced protection for its occupants. The restraint systems and airbags worked well to protect them, keeping the driver’s chest and head away from the steering wheel. Side impact protection, which includes seat mounted thorax airbags and curtain head protecting airbags, was impressive. The Focus C-MAX is the first car to achieve 4 stars for child protection. Picasso Citroën specified universal Römer Peggy forward-facing restraints for both
