  1. Not noticed to be honest will go check in a min - im just glad the glove box doesnt squeak in my new one when OH has his knee against it - that used to drive me up the wall
  2. Im serious you have freaked me out now lol
  3. No signs of cracking on mine no matter how hard i "flex" them - did you use your originals or get the primed ones from ford?
  4. well i only got my 2.0 TDCI this week - have used half a tank of fuel and accordng to the trip computer i have just under 300 miles left - its saying about 43mpg but i reset it when i filled up On my old 1.6 petrol i just left the average mpg over several tanks of fuel and that used to do about 35mpg - or about 430 miles to a tank - altho it could do more if you drove around on empty
  5. Nope playing with it myself - if it doesnt work ill get a friend who owns a body shop to do it
  6. Well they are clipped in - so dont pull it with all your strength or you may well snap them - i just pulled on mine gently and it came off
  7. I took mine off yesterday for colour coding, - just pull the top thick plastic bit off with your fingers and then the bottom bit that goes around the fog light - its very simple no tools required
  8. I think i was lucky with mine my diesel cost less from ford direct than similar petrol ones cost from the dealership itself - mine was used of course
  9. Oh i never mentioned handling - which i think is superb as i say mine is the estate but you wouldnt think it to drive, handles just as well as my old 1.6
  10. I just got a 2.0 TDCI estate on monday - previously had a 1.6 petrol - My god the 2.0 TDCI goes - im absolutely in love, only time i ever hear a noise from it is when i first start the engine or in first at a rounabout when the engine is cold Absolutely love the car never been so impressed with a car and at the moment cant see me going back to a petrol - already getting nearly 10mpg more than the petrol and ive been er "testing" its speed etc this week
  11. Very true lol ive been watching mine a little too much 2 see how much better MPG im getting on the diesel lol
  12. Ive not looked at the manual to be honest - my average MPG changes all the time - ive been checking it constantly this week with the new car
  13. Not been on either of mine... what exactly is it supposed to tell you?
  14. My postcode isnt great either - coventry recently said its the worst area for Ford car crime!
  15. so i guess i actually paid about 400 for a 2.0 TDCI Titanuim estate 06 reg - me and the OH, 15k miles a year fully comp with no claims and legal
  16. Just wondering what people pay on their MK2's - what age you are etc I'm actually for once in my life impressed with my insurance company, in March they gave me a quote of roughly 400 on my MK2 1.6 Ghia (Im 23, 6 years no claims but with protected no claims) anyway phoned them, happened to say my "partner's" name isnt on this renewal, they said oh hes on our computer but down as "other" - have £70 off for him being your partner!!! Then upped my mileage from 6k to 15k which cost about £30 I'd done just normal quotes on their website on the TDCI and it was about £150 more but when i rang
  17. Its an alarm button on the cars with the interior scan ie Ghia and Titanium - i didnt know they had one on the other models
  18. When i removed my headlights its just one plug - that was on my ghia with the auto headlights so if there is a wire for the auto lights it must be in the standard connector
  19. They are in germany - think mine took a couple of weeks - the LED rears i had just literally plugged straigh in - one connector i think it was and some screws and job done
  20. Yep got my LED lights for my old MK1 off there - they were much cheaper than everyone else too - i think they do an FFOC discount
  21. Here you go http://www.european-parts.net/catalog/p ... cts_id=445
  22. Yep i love it! - I had the sony cd player in the other one too but left it in there, have the smoked headlights sitting here waiting to go on when i nick the torx screwdriver back off the dealership - got some primed fog surrounds coming too so i can paint them and the FOCUS sill protectors - was going to change the gear knob to the alu one but now i have the car i think it looks better with the black leather one
