  1. Right, i've been able to take the rubbers out, and then put them back in, clip everything back together, put them back in the car, and check they work properly, but i've had to put the old rubbers back in. Neither halfords, or motor world sell the appropriate refills. I'll have to go on the hunt elsewhere, otherwise it'll be an expensive job.
  2. Really? i've got some spare rubbers in the garage, so i'll have a go with the small passenger side front wiper, and if that goes well, then i'll try with the larger drivers side wiper. As for the wiper refills, i'll just get mine from halfords if i decide to get some.
  3. Actually, just answered my own question. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eE1ITsXohnM
  4. Right, I think i need to change my front wiper blades, they've slowly started to deteriorate clearing the water when it's wet. Now, here comes the question. Looking at the blade, it looks like a normal wiper rubber in the aero blades, and looking at this photo here, it makes me think that the inside rubber is replaceable, so saving me £30 on a new set of blades. I've also found this pic on the internets, only small, but you'll see where i'm coming from; So has anyone else been able to replace the insides of the wiper blades, or has everyone forked out the £45ish for the new b
  5. Nearly everything runs off relays in modern cars.
  6. From Fords site; link here http://www.ford.co.uk/ns7/legal/faqs/wa ... 3/670485#1 Q: What is the paint warranty on a new Ford vehicle? A: If the paint surface of the vehicle body requires attention due to a manufacturing defect, the necessary repairs will be performed completely free of charge by any Ford Authorised Repairer, regardless of any change in vehicle ownership during the warranty period. What is the paint surface warranty period? The paint surface warranty starts on the day the vehicle is delivered to the first retail or fleet customer. Where an intermediary purchases a ve
  7. Basically firmer springs and i think different dampers, that's it. i could be wrong. Same ride height as the other grades though.
  8. As much as you pay for them the 6cds tend to go for about £230 on ebay, dunno about the single cd.
  9. iirc, the spoiler is about £130 primed, and then you need it painted. I thought of getting some, and the honeycombed mk2.5 lights, until i found the price.. :/
  10. May as well get them from fords, as cheap as anywhere really. And yes, they're not cheap iirc, about £40-45
  11. I'm guessing you have the curvy style headunit, not the rectangular version. It's pretty easy to swap over, just need to spend a few more pounds. You'll need to clip off the surround to the headunit (The part that goes around the HU, the heater controls, and the warning lights, and then unscrew the headunit out. You'll then need a replacement fascia, the bit you first clipped off, you'll need a double DIN fascia, wiring harnesses, then the HU. Pretty straight forwards job. Have a poke around the other threads about this, they'll give more detail.
  12. I like the honeycombed ones, they look rather smart, still haven't seen any LED ones in the flesh..
  13. Ooooh,, i have a 1.8 diesel :D Wouldn't be able to afford the increased insurance premiums though :/
  14. Yes it will, you may need a new radio surround though, depends on whether you have the square version, or the rounded version.
  15. What does the titanium fascia surround look like? i've no idea...
  16. How old are you mate? if you're younger than about 23, then mods will make the insurance shoot up a lot.. Case of Age vs Risk.
  17. Not even next to the door pull handle/ lock on the inside? The same place where the eleccy windows are on the passenger side, but on the drivers side?
  18. Btw, fords only give a 1 year warranty on the audio side. I keep meaning to get round to adding the Aux input to the Hu, just haven't gotten round to it, or ordering the parts.
  19. Ahh, but is that connected to the steering? Would it actually turn with the steering for the adaptive even if you connect it with the loom?
  20. Just about to say i really like the alloys.. :D Very smart. Wingmirrors are a bit :? though..
  21. wow, sure isn't cheap... Cheapest way of doing it really, is selling the motor, and buying the same one again, but this time, find one with tc + Esp.
  22. i'd get new badges if any... but yeh, just went to have a look, and they look like they could come off easily :)
  23. Sorry, yeah, on the rear. May have a go at taking them off, and putting them back on straight, or leave it debadged ;)
  24. May i just add, that if you are a member of quidco.com, then you can get 4pc cashback on the Hu, which would be about.. £32, if you're not a member, join up, and you'll still get £27 back on the HU. that's if you order off the internet, and go via http://www.quidco.com/halfords/ signing up, or signing in first. that;ll mean that you'll be able to save the amount you'll need tor the fascia adapter ;)
