My 2007 zetec screens come on if they feel like it when it is 4 degrees or lower, but only sometimes. VERY annoying. Phil.

well at least it's not april 1st. I have no idea if it is genuine though :shock:

The entire surround just pulls off, and then the radio is bolted in with 4 bolts. pull the surround firmly from the bottom where the heater rear screen switch is located.

I agree they will probably not fit well and be of poor quality but i just wondered if anyone has tried them. The Ford ones are preferable but i think they work out at around £40 ish for a set and i didnt want to pay that much ....(skinflint!!! :D ) Phil.

Anything is possible, but it would be far too expensive. Cheaper to change you car to one that already has it fitted.

I hope I never get any leeks in my focus, I hate the damn things. I prefer celery myself. :shock:

I always used the accelerator method but it did not help with my problem

My old mk1 used to do this sometimes. But only when the car was warm from being used and then left for a while but had not gone cold. You could turn the key and hold it for ages with the motor spinning over at normal speed (no problem with battery or starter motor) and it would not fire at all, but release the key and try again and it would then fire up straight away.

Donovan2123, If you are going to get a 3 spoke wheel I recommend the ST one as that is what i have fitted and it is much nicer to hold than the standard leather one. Unfortunately I think the airbag is different on the 3 spoke and 4 spoke wheels and so you will need to change that as well.

I also have this problem, I have the latest sony mp3 cd player with the aux button, but no connector in the glovebox. The problem is all the connectors on the back of the radio have plugs in them already. I also have factory fitted bluetooth and I wonder if this makes any differnce. Does anyone have the aux connection in the glovebox and also factory bluetooth? If so, where does the aux cable plug into the radio? Phil.

I have had my 2nd service this week, and the ford garage said i have this problem, (water around the plugs) and i needed new plugs, leads and washer jets but none of this covered under the warranty. i was not impressed. I think i remember someone on the forum saying that they cured the problem with some silicone around the washer jets. does anyone know if this is the case and if so, what exactly should i do. Phil.

I was taught to drive in 1978 and was not told to press the button and so I never have. I have never had any handbrake problems and no ratchet wear. The only reason to press the button is if you do not like the noise. Phil.

Hi Wizbit, I fitted a focus ghia light to my old mk1 focus and I have now fitted it to my mk2 and although is looks different to the proper mk2 ghia light it does fit with no problem.

Mine is exactly the same, it sits just below the mid point. one thing i have noticed since the cold weather has arrived is that it takes ages to warm up and get to the normal position. My old mk1 1800 zetec warmed up really quickly, but my mk2 1600 zetec takes more than twice as long. I am wondering if the thermostat may be stuck open. Is there any way i can check if this is the case?

I already have the red model as above, quite a close match to my zetec in tango red except for the wheels. Phil.

Hi James, Thanks for some great info. I certinly did not realise there was anything like this available out there. I would like to collect a model of every car i ever ownrd in the correct colour/trim in the same scale of 1:43 scale. this seemed an impossible task but several companies including minichamps seem to be working on it for me! E.G. there is a model of the XR3 coming out now, I just hope they will do it in sunburst red. Phil.

Where on ebay are these models for sale? The top one is almost exactly like my car and i want one!!! phil.

I fitted it myself and i have added in interface so i can use the steering column controls. Yes there is a gap around the faceplate but it dosen't bother me, infact untill it was poined out I had not even really noticed it much and had not thought about it. I think you would have a similar gap if you fitted any non standard stereo, either single or double din. Phil.

I used this- clicky The shelf on the bottom part is removeable, and then you have to cut out the middle bar. after that I had to cut off some small lugs on the top and bottom part of the silver focus radio surround to get it to fit properly. Took a couple of hours to do including making a bracket to go on the back of the radio to fit the original ford rear radio support. Phil.
