  1. Sweet, and many thanks for the pictures. I currently carry a collapsible box in the boot for when we're shopping to hold the bags with the milk in - this looks like a neat alternative. Do you mind if I ask roughly how much for the pair and do you reckon they'd be cheaper from say a Skoda dealer than an Audi dealer? Cheers.
  2. Nice! Must say I like the mods you're making, the dash one was particularly impressive. Can I just ask - the VAG spec sprung hooks X2 under Offside bootpanel you showed in one of your earlier posts - how exactly do they work? Do you just hang things from them or are they pull out extendable hooks? Cheers.
  3. Found the original thread here And here's a picture from the thread:
  4. 1539801 - O/S moulding (Right) - £9.42 1539802 - N/S moulding (Left) - £9.42 Anyone got a picture showing these rails in situ?
  5. Are we talking about an illuminated ignition key barrel surround or the 12v power output (ciggie lighter)?
  6. My 2005 MK2 Titanium doesn't but my previous Honda did and the wife's Rover has. Only asking because I went to Fords for a replacement collar for the 12v outlet (ciggie lighter socket) in my car. Mine was black but the replacement was see-through green with a bulb attached to illuminate it. When I checked, my loom had a spare connector taped up which was obviously designed for this illuminated collar. Fitted it and now have a nice subtle green glow. So I was wondering if any MK2 Foci had a key barrel illuminated surrounding collar? If so, think I'll investigate if mine will take one.
  7. Cheers for the replies guys and that photo is spot on for getting an idea of the size required. I've found a guy through eBay who's local and hires out roofboxes so, as I need one for Saturday I'll just rent and see how it goes before I commit to buying one. I'll be trying either a Thule Atlantis 200 or a Thule Atlantis 780 and it's only £20 for the weekend so can't complain. He'll even do a deal if I want to buy it when we get back. them out so I'm getting
  8. Can anyone recommend, from experience, a roof box for a MK2? Any pictures would be a welcome Brucie Bonus!
  9. Don't know when the official release date was but I just picked a copy up from Halfords today :D
  10. Actually, one of the pictures seems fairly clear - you can see the hole and I cleared the rubbery stuff from approx 1" x 1/2" around it. Click to enlarge:
  11. Hi Jeff, Yes, you have to pick out the rubbery compound to reveal the screw hole beneath. I've just been out to take a picture but it's getting dark and the flash/auto focus don't like it. If I get a chance (probably the weekend if that's not too late) I'll try and get a picture of the hole and the foot of the proper Ford bars that I have. Cheers, Aardy
  12. Well when you start up with it in the windscreen position just press the aircon button to switch it off, it's what I do. Oh and by the way, this 20mpg business - I've probably missed it but did you ever mention if this figure was based on checking the AVG MPG in the digital display or by actually manually calculating the MPG from a tankful?
  13. Here you go. This shows the passenger footwell one viewed from the door (2005 MK2 Titanium): Click to enlarge
  14. FordEtis might help you: http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do There's some discussion about it in this thread: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... light=etis
  15. Thanks, might give mine a go as the kids complain that there's an ammonia-type smell sometimes after the aircon has been used.
  16. By Gum, you're right! I hadn't realised it was there either (2005 Titanium) - it's just like the pouch you get on the back of the seats only really titchy. No idea what you would store in it?
  17. That looks great, could be tempted to try this myself. Couple of questions if I may: How much was the 1 x blanking plate (1356067)? Why 3x pieces of cable - are you not just using the original cable that originally connected to the glove box? Not directly related - does your stereo get fairly hot when you put your hand on the plastic where the display is? Cheers, Aardy
  18. Cheers, found the filler cap OK just couldn't work out how you check the levels. He failed
  19. Son is taking his driving test tomorrow (I was a very young father, honest  ) and it'll be in a Focus. He just asked to look under the bonnet of mine (2005 MK2 petrol) so he could check where the washer bottle and dipstick were (he's been learning in a Golf and the Instructor has just bought a Focus the week before his test!!). Anyways, he's asked how you check the washer bottle level and although it must be obvious I just can't work it out - any ideas?
  20. Thanks for all the replies folks. Does anyone have any recommendations for First Aid kits and road side safety triangles that are a good fit? (preferably genuine Ford but at a push aftermarket would be fine if they're a good fit). e.g. is this the sort of thing? Aardy
  21. My 2005 MK2 5 door 2.0 Auto Titanium has velcro straps in the boot on the left and right hand sides - does anyone know if there would have been anything fitted into these straps as original equipment from new? Cheers, Aardy
  22. Think I'll have to remember to reset the MPG on the trip computer next time and do a comparison. Cheers, Aardy
