No, no, no Dennis. you missed Scotty's point. He means he hasn't seen ones he can nick. He lives up North don't forget. BUY alloy wheels, why bother when then so much choice in your average multi storey carpark.
-
HAve to agree. Its tempting to do it I know but your current wheels really do suit the car. If I was forced I would say the bottom wheels but again spend your money on a DAB stereo, Woodstock 54. Or springs....

Wow! What a story. Indeed the finance company could well be responsible for replacing the car. Depends on the finance contract you have. Tell them, with an apology, that you are not satisfied with the car and deem it not fit for purpose and want it replaced. There response should tell you the position. Mention not making anymore payments because the car is unfit for purpose but be prepared for a debate. If in doubt pop down to Citizens Advice or a solicitor (worth £50 I would think). Also tell Ford Customer Service what you are doing as well. Sometimes you have to hustle to get things done.

...but its so sweet and with a nice umbrella in the glass it looks so stylish.

True your slagging off of our northern "friends", whilst justiified by every piece of evidence known to the Police was only one comment. I stand corrected. I wonder if the UK will eventually tip over with all the weight of alloys and stereos that have "migrated" up North.I say that with no intention to cause offence (get it? "offence")

I think Nicks comments are in inaccurate, completely out of order and frankly appalling! Everyone knows that its i before e, except after c.

Throw out the dog and close the window seems to be a solution to me. You don't even have to slow down. You could throw out the pet as well if you want........

Its come up elsewhere but pads are cheaper fitted at rapid Fit and sometimes even at Kwik Fit when they have special offers on. I trust RApid Fit though as they use proper mechanics

A good independant will have the right diag equipment. I know they can get the equipment even though Ford charge an arm and a leg, which is actually fair I suppose. In any case I would go to an independant for the service and then to Ford for any recall checkup. Ford are doing nothing more than putting fear into Ford owners so the dealers can utilise the main source of profit. Its a more subtle form of restrictive practice. However a lot of independants will not bother with the stuff mastertech suggests but enough of them do. My local VW indy has the full set of VW and Audi diagnostic tools an -
Good prices. Mind you £12300 is waht I paid for my new 2.0 TDCi Zetec last September. Drive the deal were quoting £14500 then so its a serious drop

If you can find an independant Ford will not cause you a problem. Guy next door has a Mondeo and has just had the second service done by Ford and get some warranty work done. The first was by an independant in Birmingham. The Ford dealer didn't say a word about the first service, which he spotted. -
So what you said about Mastertech with you, a bar of soap and a donkey in a jacuzzi was a joke then?

A few years ago I had a gearbox problem with a Saab 95 and had a similar but more polite debate with a service receptionist. I told him that I had spoken to Graham Hatridge in Saab technical support, the directors office who had informed me that there was field fix for the buzzing noise from the gear stick which involved replacing the seal on the top of the gearbox and I was to refer back to him if I had any issues getting it replaced (the car was going in for its 3rd attempt to cure it). My story was total b*****ks, although the fix was true, I got the name off the Saab uk web site. I think

Maybe there is a grey area of performance in the turbo, a bit like low in the rev range between stalling a car or pulling away. Maybe the turbo boost is set, as default, a bit too close to that area and at certain revs its loses the plot. Anything like that would benefit from a slight tweak. For these guys its seems convincing the dealer to do it is their problem

Darlington ? Isn't incest legal there as well?

Annoying when someone puts a "Buy It Now " price when it is obvious that is also his "reserve" price as well. He shouldn't have left it in the street like that. This is his latest picture and the price has dropped to £1500
