  1. This has been covered across the internet many times. In most cases you will find (although negligible in both cases), better performance gains from a panel filter. Obviously this doesnt give the all important sound :) I have a K&N filter in my 1.6, whilst it doesnt offer a huge improvement in power, it definitely feels less stunted right through the rev rangr and gear changes become a pleasure rather than a chore :)
  2. Probably one of the umpteen trum clips inside the door card, or some other manufacturing 'non-specific'. Easy enough to pop the card off and remove the offending article. I currently have the cover from my crossover floating around inside the door card after I shut my door a little too enthusiastically. I'll get round to refitting it at some point :)
  3. Titanium (?) carbon stylee centre console All plastic mouldings for c/c ST mirror covers for wing mirror mod Carbon/Alu kickplates (may require tracking down someone to custom make these) Presumably it would be possible to become a stockist for non-ford manufactured kit too. Rear lights/Angel Eyes.....basically European Parts UK? :) (Maybe a step too far)
  4. Yes - it was me :) Washer jets were resealed, New HT leads and plugs all courtesy of my local dealership. Didnt help that the engine warning light came on just as I was joining the motorway either! :)
  5. 1. Insert flat blade screwdriver or similar into seam on grab handle. The handle is comprised of two halves, the bottom should come away with a little persuasion. 2. Undo two bolts hidden underneath the cover you have just removed 3. Pop the front off the tweeter casing at the top of the door adjacent to the wing mirror. Easier if you drop the window and do this from the outisde in. It just clips in, but being new will require a little persuasion 4. Remove the back frame to the tweeter enclosure and disconnect the tweeter itself. Makes it a lot easier to remove the card doing this. 5
  6. Looks smart - though (and this is a matter of personal taste) the back looks a bit cluttered. A bit of debadging would finish it for me.
  7. In my rush to get my front components in earlier this year, I had a quck stab at knocking up some MDF baffles, but fudged it. Subsequently I went down the auto leads route. Anyway, I am hoping to have a bit of an overhaul shortly and will be redoing both my doors. Just wandered if anyone has knocked up their own mdf (or other) baffles, and whether they would be interested in an 'obble? I would do it myself, but simply dont have the tools to machine them. In case anyone is wondering why this is in 'ere - I doubt I'll get much joy elsewhere on the BB due to most being MK1 owners. Tha
  8. Warranty would be void in terms of suspension AFAIK, but otherwise OK.
  9. How difficult was it to remove the rear bump strip? I should hopefully be fitting mine soon. Mods look great, though definite candidate for de-badging :)
  10. Looking nice Simon - I'll catch up with you mod wise some day ! :)
  11. There is little if any difference in the lenses themselves, its the inside of the light that differs. Black rather than silver. I have them on mine. Believe me when I say changing the lenses is a horrid job. i was going to stick the lenses from my silver set, onto my smoked set as they are little battle scarred....but I gave up after half an hour and bought some plastic polish instead! :)
  12. I dont have any scuff plates, and all the ones i have seen are truly hideous...especially the illuminated ones...ick! I believe ford do them for a hefty fee, but perhaps you could be one of the first to find a better option. Carbon Fibre would be nice . along with aluminium. I know there was someone making carbon plates for the mk1, and he did mnetion he would be doing them for the mk2 eventually.
  13. - The titanium (I think) centre console - Smoked headlights a la Zetec - Footwell lighting kit, to incorporate lighting on models without the bulb holders - Scuff plates that dont look ghastly :D - Chrome frame grilles - Vanilla grilles, bump strips, door handles etc... for colour coding I'm sure I have plenty of other ideas, 'll but I'll withold them for now just in case I need to haggle with you again :D
  14. Call me slightly defensive, as I have a lowly 1.6, but what were you expecting? It would have been more of a surprise if you hadn't noticed a difference :)
  15. I had this problem a few weeks ago on my 12/05 focus. believe it or not it was caused by faulty washer jets. Over time water was collecting around the plugs, causing misfires. May be worth popping your ignition leads off and checking for any obvious signs of moisture. (namely rust)
  16. Thanks - definitely needs dropping on 17s methinks :)
  17. Just a bit oif info really that you may find useful. I nipped into longlife in Swansea this week and asked them for prices 'unbending' the rear pipe and adding a trim, and also on a full cat-back single/duplex system. On a basic new tailpipe and trim the cost would be no more than £90 including trimming the rear valance. On a cat back duplex, the cost is between £400-£450 On a cat back single exit the cost is around £350 Given the MS designs pipe I recently fitted is priced at £150 ish......the first option seems pretty reasonable :)
  18. Thats excellent - thanks for that. Hadnt spotted the wagon on 17s either. Doesnt look too shabby :)
  19. Thanks Tony - though any pics on 17s would still be goodif anyone has them. Incidentally - I have no idea how I managed 2 posts
  20. Anyone got a pic of a MK2 on 17" Rims and dropped 30-35mm. All the pics I have seen are on 18s, and am wondering maybe I should go for 18s instead.

  23. Why would anyone put cheap chrome lexus lights on a ST or any other MK2 come to that  The smoked ones I am not keen on but look ok, sorry but the chrome ones a dredful. Seconded :) Think that was the general consensus last time these cropped up.
  24. Don't EVER wish you'd gone for shocking sea grey! They do these in clear also which will suit tonic nicely! Theres nowt wrong with the stunning sea grey ya young whipper snapper! ;)
