Roof mounted sunglasses holder.
Seb_TDCi replied to zetecm4plm's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Hmm, I would have thought you should have had the sunglasses holder fitted, my 57 Zetec Climate came with one, and the fact that you had the holes in the roof lining .... -
I assume they are still a screw on jobby, the 1.8 was always a 5spd box, I assume the 2.0 is as well, therefore assuming both of these are correct I cannot see why not!

Makes me so cross  -
Surely its just a case of replacing the orange bulbs for silvatecs or equivalents .... :?

I suspect you might be able to bodge something where the heated screen switches are, but it would probably foul on the gearstick.

I drive with the armrest up, i find it gets in the way  My Ka had brilliant cupholders - the door bins were perfectly shaped to hold bottles and drinks cartons ;)

Not overly keen on those new wheels but better than the LX wheeltrims  Any pics of the rear lights lit up (assume they are the new LED ones ? )
-
Same as mine, 57 Zetec Climate .... assume therefore its normal!

The silver bit? To cut and paste from the link above ... Removing the surround is tricky, I ended up pulling it off gently using 3 small screwdrivers, gradually easing them around the edge to remove the clips around the edge. The hardest one is the one in the middle between the headunit and the a/c, a couple of long screwdrivers either side and lots of wiggling and patience and it finally came free.

Don't need keys for the new one (red rounded one) just remove the fascia with some screwdrivers, then undo four bolts ;) See here ... http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/index.p ... ntry164017

That would be good :D

Indeed, as there wasnt enough to clean the screen , and it smeared to buggery in the bright sunshine :?

I ran mine empty today with no warning 57 Zetec Climate :x

Oh = Other Half ;)

As I understood it Tezza said only the one silver surround is listed and it has the holes for heated seats. You can see in the above pic of mikey's he has 5 blanks, if he had the standard black surround he would have only 3 button blanks. The Focus CC1 I saw had the same layout as in the picture, rather than how its shown in the brochure, a silver version of the pic below .....

This may be of interest to some, did a bit of research today ....... Saw a Focus CC1 and what Mikey has said in the is correct, they only make the one switch surround for all 3 models, and I was astonished to see that Ford have done the same thing as what Mikey has had to do, two little black blanking pieces instead of heated seat buttons :o Secondly, the Mk2.5 focus has a silver surround and silver heated screen buttons & blanks, I took a look at a zetec and a style, these both appear to have the same silver finish as the Mk2, so this is probably the route I will take, as I didn'

If I'm looking at the right pics they don't look all that good

Faulty Hand Brake Query?????
Seb_TDCi replied to vantheman1blue's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I have never pushed the button in on either of my cars (Ka & Focus), and to be honest I can't remember what my instructor taught me with regards to this. -
I have noticed with mine (1.6 TDCi, 57 reg) that sometimes getting into first or second is very difficult. Also have the trouble sometimes with third too. It just seems to be the way the car is, all the Foci i test drove were the same.

I had a slight bump in mine at the beginning of December (hit someone at a roundabout  ), I had similar damage on the other side of the front bumper, I had a new one from insurance, but mine had gone out of alignment too. So I suggest you check very carefully all around as it may have kinked by the bonnet, the headlight or the wing - they don't take much to move, and I had quite a fight with the repairers to get them to sort it.

Adjustable Power Steering, whats the diff?
Seb_TDCi replied to YorkshirePudding's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I tried all three, comfort isnt for me at all, felt so weird, standard reminded me of my old Ka which although was good, I'm now too used to sport, so that is the option of choice now ;) -
I think though that sunny wanted the info to see if he could add after market tint though ;)
-
Correct, however if you then put an after market tint on you will go over the legal limit ;)
