  1. Scratches - depends on the depth/severity. Personally I opt for Poorboys SSR3 and SSR2. 3 is pretty heavy stuff, but does a good job on deeper efforts followed by SSR2. SSR 2 is good for lots of little scratches. In both cases I finish with a good all round polish like Megs Crystal to regain the lustre.
  2. Still cant see diddly - this was happening at home under both IE6 and IE7, and now in work with FF. Strange :(
  3. I'm guessing there should be pics with all your posts Garck? I cant see a single one of them, on more than one PC. Any guesses anyone? Is this a forum bug?
  4. Interior looks mint sir (exterior isnt doing it for me, but as long as you like it!) :)
  5. ST220s are 7.5" I believe, so should be OK hopefully. :)
  6. Ebay in Germany have this along with door handle covers, fog light surrounds etc... personally I think they look dreadful.
  7. Once the weather clears up I will finally be fitting mine. There are a lot of differing opinions on this. The offset is the deciding factor, but I havent been able to get a conclusive range as yet. Speaking to a ford fitter, he was under the impression I probably wouldnt need them. I am going to try it and see what happens :)
  8. ...and with a decent size sub theres every possibility you'll destroy the 6x9s!
  9. There is definitely a shelf about for the mk2 somewhere as I entertained the idea myself when I was putting my kit in.
  10. Very nice, time to lose that chrome grille now in favour of a colour coded one :)
  11. Bit OTT for me - Mine was £140 less about 10% thanks to me dad :)
  12. Nice - nice bit of lowering will make it even better :)
  13. I believe that they can often require some gentle persuasion. Just yank at it, and if all else fails.... nip over the road and flutter your eyelids :)
  14. Personally I take mine out and drop the vanilla filter back in for a service. Good oppurtunity to re-oil! :)
  15. Excellent thanks :) Looks like I'm on the brink of flexing my flexible friend for a set of ST220 alloys. Lets hope Father Christmas helps me pay if off! :)
  16. I am contemplating picking up some 18" Ford alloys for my MK2. The car was lowered last weekend on eibach springs. Question is, what size tyres will I need? Wheel specs are - Rim Width : 7.5J Diameter : 18" Offset : 52 PCD : 108 Also I'm guessing I'll need the rack limiter for 18's - Is this a DIY fit, or would this need to be booked in? Thanks :)
  17. Looks nice - presumably lowering it is now out of the question, bar a few mm? How has it affected the ride? Presumably you needed a rack limiter too?
  18. I popped my panel filter out for my first service a few weeks ago, and took the oppurtunity to clean and re-oil it while it was out. Not strictly necessary as I have only done 6.5k in a year, but POM nevertheless.
  19. Impossible sadly, unless you want it to take peoples kneecaps off as you drive by.
  20. Yes - you need to chop the tailpipe immediately behind the hanger. 5 mins with a hacksaw and a bit of persuasion to remove the old hanger.
  21. I have a lowly 1.6. No huge power gains, but definitely a bit more reponsive and generally smoother all round.
  22. This is the one I have and its the same as the 2.0l filter according to K&N. Check the dimensions, and I reckon you'll be fine :) http://www.knfilters.com/search/product ... od=33-2877
  23. I may be changing mine in the next month or so. I'll keep you posted.
  24. I would imagine you are pretty safe assuming the element is the same size. There wasnt a specific panel for the 1.6 when I bought mine - just took a bit of a 2nd hand gamble which paid off :) Believe mine was used on a 1.8 for a month or two prior to going in mine.
