well i was a member of the club, paid up for three years membership was told would have access to all area's of forum and all that. next thing i know am being told that will have to pay to post on forum, thought i allready had. but nooo!!!!!! my three year membership had ran out and they had not bothered to tell me, so they realy want to keep you as a member of the club, more money wasted.

ours has the changer connected to the sat nav unit travelpilot ex just been out and looked at unit for you and there are no markings visiable on unit but magazine has on it in small letters "designed by alpine japan" :!:

did the pad change myself 3 month ago had no problems at all epb was off for over an hour (had to modify tool)pads(cost £12) went in easy and all works fine should take no longer than 45 mins to do both sides

if its the same as the backs and mk1 focus it's 7mm

the part number for the isofix kit for a c-max if not already fitted, is 1332664 cost around £15 ford take about an hour to fit it hope this helps

ultima kit is extras added to a standard ghia of full body kit 17"9x2 spoke wheels and privecy glass and a sony head unit other than that it was the same as a ghia actually test drove one when we were looking to buy a c-max at the start, but what counted against it was the fact that apart from the above extra's it was a standard ghia.(cloth trim and air con) the one we eventually found and got is better spec than ultima just dosn't have body kit on it

yup total thickness of pad, metal bit is about 5mm thick andy

pads should have in the region of 16mm on new back pads and 18mm for the fronts, these are the mesurements for the total thickness of the pads

tool used is draper's normal piston wind back tool with pin center's modified from 34mm to 22mm to fit caliper.for the epb just followed instrutions in handbook for disengaging auto operation of epb. andy

both sides windin clockwise (only way tool will go normal right hand thred). no probs with the epb,

got them from local unipart factor for £17

mine did the same, took into dealer they got it open and replaced aclip that goes somewhere in the tube between the lock barrel and mechanisim, thats after i tried to get it to work myself after sticking my arm up and trying to get it to work with no luck its a bloody stupid design all well for security but when it stops working its a right * * * * andy

just done the back brake pads on the max, bought the tool to wind the caliper piston back in, had to modifiy it as ford have changed the hole spacing on the back caliper's to a smallers size, right pain to do. any way pads and tool total cost came to £28, fitted this morning to car if you ignore time it took to modifiy tool, took me less than 3/4 of an hour to do. car has epb aswell and all is working well so well happy, as been quoted £39 just for pads from ford. andy

got the kumho's on ours they are so much better than the conti's that were on better ride and quieter oh and half the price

the dealer i use quoted me 206 for a 2.0tdci would be 265 if it had a particlate filter and that price was read straight out of there big book of prices

you just pull it off they are now fitted with push in plugs you do have to be careful so as not to loose any plugs and damage the door trim though

sounds like they have done something to the connectors on the back of the unit all c-max's have six speakers as standard 4 in front door's and 2 in back, if you have a sony head unit ot the dvd nav system you get 8 the extra 2 in the back door's

o a 8.5x20 you would need in the realms of a et45 offset, have seen someone listing 20's for new focus and that is about wot they are using

haven't tried ford but have looked for the travelpilot ex system fitted to our max and the cheap disc is £90 the expensive one is £150 should have a list of places in back of radio guide where to go for updated disc's' will have a look in mine and see if there is a site listed have been on it but cannot remember wot site it was(sorry)

one of my center caps is starting to bubble but as yet have no probs with the wheels themselves but give them a chance and they will. havent seen many max wheels corroding yet but mondeo wheels at the same age as our cars the wheels i've seen are very badly corroding,my mondeo zetec wheels had ,and there are a few round here mostly zetec-s and ghia's running 18s that have very bad corrosion problems,so its poss that the quality on c-max wheels is a little bit better

have spoken to his mother this afternoon she has offered to pay for the damage to be fixed as it was the lads fault, her main concern was obviously her son at first but once she found out that the car is a disabled car she was all concern for us espesh my partner who has spinal problems the screen will hopefully be getting done on friday(not kept in stock(no suprise)and the rest of the damage is superficial totals a wing and the h/lamp washer jet cover
