Anyone know what these plugs are for?
revoltos replied to Anto's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
1_8zetec_climate has a good point, that red lead looks very big indeed. Must be carrying a high amount of current. -
Doh! :D

Down there they might be for cruise control, There not bluetooth plugs. -
If its front foot well, its got to be the door seals as menzies said. Ive heard of people that have had a looser arieal base, this could let water in but it would have some trip down to the pax footwell.

What shape mate, the 1.5 or the proper face lift mk2?
-
I havnt done my motors mate and DONT snip your plug of what ever you do. Just take the plug out of your new units with the short wires and modify the current plug on the car. You are only altering three wires, One of those is just bridging an earth. Thats far easier than re-attaching about 12 wires isnt it? PM Tezza to get the pin numbers for altering. I think one guy off here had a mate modify he's units using the levelling motor from the original one's. No none else has botherd. Ive had five ford no and can honestly say I have never move that switch to alter the beam. Thats even carrying two

Yeah I thought it was around 5l, is it more with headlamp washers aswell?
-
There is three wires that need changing, one is adding an earth to the exsiting earth, the other is swapping a pin and briging a wire. E-mail Tezza he knows the connections. You will loose your manual leveling adjust in the car with these by the way. Unless you want to strip out both sets of lights and take the manual motor out of your exsiting halogens and replace it into the xenons. Ive had my retor fit xenons in for a year now and they have been good as gold.

Stu77 its in your book how much the washer tanks takes.

Sound damping material - door vibration
revoltos replied to darando's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
My door cards buzz aswell mate, its a common fault on the mk2. Three door cars can be bad for it because of the size of the card and its quite rigid plastic so just vibrates. -
Lol, dam, you got me, thats still a normal bulb.
-
Ive uprated to hids aswell but ST lamps so straight swap, also upgraded the full beam light and have led's in the sidelights. There isnt a bulb that hasnt been modded on my car I dont think...lol
-
Thats bad news, I hate it when a plan fails. What else have you brought on ebay then? Why dont you get the pedal set of a mk2 ST, they go straight on as I have done it on my tdci.
-
Yeah the engines started to badged up as duratec and zetec came of the engines and went as a trim level. I think duratec engines do have differences over zetecs though, like the injection systems and cams aswell as oil jets and block designs.

Nope, its online based for ford workshop employees only.

My titanium has the complete unit with sub lighting and alarm sensors. I then changed to black ST roof lining etc from an ST that also had the same just black! Im surprised your titanium hasn't got sub marine lighting. Is it a pre 06?

revoltos replied to Nebb2k8's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
They are a different caliper you are right. As I dont own a petrol mk2 I cant say about sizes etc but ST stuff went straight onto my 2.0TDCI 06 no problem. -

Anto do you know that you need a mount for the caliper as a FACT because the calipers on focus's bolt to the hub and its a straight bolt up job on the diesel that has smaller discs to start with. The caliper is bigger therefore copes with the bigger disk radius. -
From what is average speed calculated?
revoltos replied to GazzNWW's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
So you can do it? Did you use the exact same method as the mk1? Just use the stalk switch instead. So whats shipping mode then? -

Why dont you use the digital display trick which gives a real time road speed recorded by the vehicle speed sensor. Set the dials when your on a safe stretch of road, you can also do the rev counter then if you have removed that needle. -
The heater switches and dials are all one unit. you remove the sterio and fascia and then the heated front-rear screen panel and then the heater dials unscrew off there. The 2007 onwards had red dials so all you need to do is get a set of a later car and job done.

Spot on, thanks mate. I sending them away to be turned RED...lol. More waste of money...
