ivor_bigun, is there such a model as a "XT" is it a special edition or something, was looking on the ford web site and they dont seem to list it, thou what they list is a "titanium" and you can have the "titanium x" pack as a factory fit option.

if the person in the other car claims ull end up paying more in your insurance any way mate. id go thru insurance and take the hit at the renewal

Evans Halshaw quoted me £213.00 for the same thing! Mot is now at a fixed rate of £50 im quite happy to pay £105 for a service and mot, to keep inline with having a full main ford dealer service history!

Its that time again for the service and mot..... After a ring around a few garages, Arnold Clark and Evans Halshaw, Ive booked my car into Arnold Clark Ford for the cars Service and Mot cost is £105.50 inc vat also getting a courtesy car, Booked for Firday 28th November for 8am. as much as it pains me to say it, the astra design is a lovley car, if only it didnt have whizzpopper on it. for me i like the new astra but wouldnt have one, and again only because its a whizzpopper.

my 1.6 vct titanium does the same every now and then, hasnt ever bothered me to be honest cos at times i think im letting the key go before the engine has actualy fired up. :oops:

my cars a 2004 54 1.6 ti-vct (or what ever ford calls it) and i usualy put that redex fuel ststem cleaner thru one full tank of petrol every six months, never had any probs using it and the cat seems fine.

have to agree Aquarius is a nice colour, when I bought mines, the sales guy was told, Aquarius Titanium 3dr, or NO DEAL!

hi there buddy, the engine managment light has come on mines a few times 1st time it was a oxygen sensor that needed replaced and the 2nd time the ecu just needed a download of some sort. if the car is still under the 3 year ford warranty it should get fixed for free

mate its nothing to worry about, early cars were badged as "ghia" as the "titanium" badges were not available when the mk2 focus was launched. the titanium is above the ghia trim - titanium is a kinda sporty version of the ghia, the way to determin the titanium over the ghia is with the half leather seats, three spoke steering wheel, sony cd player. when u get the car, remove the ghia badge and order a titanium badge and fit the titanium badge.

as above, just check the over all condidtion of the car, as its poss still under warranty get any wee niggles fixed. ive been running my current focus titanium for two years now and i totaly love it, only problem ive had with mines was a creeking noise from the front suspension at low speed, turned out to be tie rod ends, which was fixed under warranty. ive had the engine managment light on twice, 1st time it was a oxygen sensor, and the 2nd time the car just needed a ecu download. reversing takes a bit of getting used to with the mk2 focus too, i thought it was just me who had proble
