They are just ford direct cars which are fords national stock that most dealers can get www.forddirect.co.uk or at least thats what they look like to me

It came as standard on my Ghia and the mondeo estate the OH just bought has it too which is good because hes now addicted to it too

Went back to the dealers the other day as OH was buying a new mondeo and the dealer asked if i had used my cruise control yet and i said no im a bit nervous of using it Well he talked me into it and in the last 3 days ive done a 600 mile round trip to scotland and used it most of the way and i love it sorry for the random thread but i LOVE cruise control lol

yes we had the same on the old focu and our mondeo its normal

cant say ive noticed but then i havent been looking

The wheels on the new one are 5 stud or at least mine on the ghia are and the old ones were 4 stud but i dont know a great deal about wheels Costs me just over £40 to fill the tank and for that it does 400 miles, thats on a car with just over 5000 miles so will probably get a bit better some of the parts are the same so you can get some of the stuff thats available for the old style As for the LX or zetec well it depends what toys you want on it really

Nope, road noise is much less than my old car - i havent noticed much more noise above 60 to be honest but i do drive with the stereo on nice and loud, fuel economy is starting to improve now ive gone over 5,000 miles but i dont think 400 miles to a tank is that bad anyway I havent had any of the problems yet either touch wood - feels much more solid than my old focus

I cant believe they wouldnt sort it because of the cost of mechanics - i know allen ford can be a joke but id have swung for someone if they said that to me - im starting to think the smaller ones are better, coventry is ok in that you can usually get booked in straight away etc but they like to ignore the problems you have and fix what they feel like fixing And after my initial "fun" getting a car from Daventry they have actually been really good, they just sent me some paint for free to fix a tiny scratch as a result weve seen a mondeo we wanted at the Northampton one but we are having it

does the paint match bug you that much that you would consider getting rid? - ive said a few times on here my old car had severe probs so im probably more forgiving with my new car - paint probs etc after the faults i had are nothing - with the road noise obviously i dont have the same car as you but it shouldnt be that noisy maybe book it into the dealers and tell them your concerns? Was it a new or used car when you got it?

Hey welcome i have the mismatch too as i have a tonic which seems to suffer from it but to be honest it doesnt bother me i only noticed because i was looking for it My road noise is much less than my old 1.6 focus - but still noisier than our mondeo i guess but its actually pretty quiet (i have the 1.6 Ti-VCT now)

sorry i dont know the answer i had a similar problem with my old car it took months to get the driving position comfortable and the more i drove the less it hurt and my leg got used to it

As far as im aware its average MPG that my Ghia shows

ESP is 1,770 euros on the ford.ie website - anyone know why the configurator on the ford uk website isnt giving an option to configure a focus?

i only got the car a few weeks ago, its an 05 reg used one so i assume the previous owner would have got the letter and not me?

BTW how do you know if it affects you or do you just have to wait for the wiper to stop working as when i got my 1 year old car the dealer said i imagine this will have been done but he didnt actually know for sure

The only recall was the rear wiper motor And listen for any creaking or rattling but other than that theres not a lot

what model number is the mp3 player for the focus if you dont mine me askin?

by some strange coincidence allen ford just rang me to say my paints arriving 2morrow lol and they will post it to me Hope you get it sorted out ive spent hours over the last year and a bit screaming at the service staff and manager at my local dealership

i wasnt saying you dont have rights - if its bugging you that much then why don't you take it back? Im biased as the last car i was sold had serious electrical problems and engine misfiring etc all within a year so maybe now small things bug me less - having said that if the scratch on mine had not been on the bumper i would have argued until they fixed it but as a plastic bumbper wont rust im not too fussed
