:!: Have a word with local dealer about adapting cars for people with Mobility difficulties...they maybe able to suggest a way round the accelerator problem. -
Recommended min. 1/2hour per month to keep things working OK and to stop bacteria building up

focusghia44 replied to DaCole's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Should be a right foot rest for Ghia drivers when the "Cruise" is on. -

I doubt very much Ford will alter a policy decision regarding the availability of this option :( Regards retro-fitting if the parts are available I suspect it will cost 2 to 3 times as much as the option price :( :( Sorry to be the bearer of "Good News" / "Bad News" :( :( :( -

According to latest Price List - Adjustable Pedals are still available.....BUT only on Ghia and Titanium. http://www.ford.co.uk/spg/getImage.asp? ... =Focus.pdf -
I have Premacys on mine and find them much quieter than the Pirelli P6 I had on my old Focus :)

Did you buy the car new? Ford offer adjustable pedals as an £100 option...hope this is not being wise after the event. -
The problem is caused by water getting in though the seal and affecting the release micro switch. A new switch was fitted under warranty so hopefully no more "Luggage Compartment Open" incidents :)

Brand New Mk2 - Things to look out for?
focusghia44 replied to animal's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Cars built after March 2005 are unaffected by rear wiper issue :) -
I can't pin-point exactly where the sound comes from... but it's inside the trim close to the base of the nearside hatch support strut. Hope this makes sense :)

Whilst taking my car in this morning to get the boot latch sorted out, got this message "Engine Management Failure". Car seemed normal so - great timing I thought will get this dealt with at the same time :) Phone call 11.30am car is ready...picked it up lunchtime and I asked about this "Failure" message. No Fault Found was the reply. How can a warning like this be displayed and then no record of it in a diagnostic check :?

Today about to set off when the hatch door popped open - got out shut it happen again. Now it unlocks at random. Soonest local dealer can have a look at it is Friday. Has this happen to anyone else and what is the solution? :( :( :(

focusghia44 replied to Matthew Smith's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
In days gone by heating elements could be repaired using a dab of silver conductive paint - probably not recommended nowadays. -
Rear Window Heating Element
focusghia44 replied to Matthew Smith's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Curly. Just guessing but I think the idea is to generate more heat there to defrost the wiper blade and stop it freezing to the screen in extremely cold conditions. -
Question about Sony MP3 Stereo
focusghia44 replied to smjohns's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Not heard about this size until now. Are you asking before you buy specifically for the Sony MP3 :?: Do you intend burning in MP3 format :?: -
Niggling question!!!
focusghia44 replied to davidbrownfocus84's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
If you do decide on 17" wheels bear in mind the cost of replacement tyres  BTW Sony MP3 will also play CDRWs 8) -
