  1. it'll be a MK2.5. Ford did a 'fairwell' version of the MK2.5 that included, ST style 16" wheels, Satnav, Bluetooth, Auto lights & Wipers, Auto dimming rear view mirror, reversing sensors, and the titanium interior. Fortunatley for people who are wanting a bargain in a few months time, i certain rental car company i work with have got hundreds on the fleet 8)
  2. slayingfocus, exactly. People think that a diesel will be economical even when being booted. Its just not the case!
  3. i have the 1.8 TDCI 115bhp on the mk2 shape. I'm getting around 42mpg, but i drive 30miles a day so its ideal. I usually get 450miles to a tank. £115 for a year to tax and no DPF!!! The torque that its got is fantastic. Its safe to say that i will never drive a petrol again, and this is my first diesel!
  4. i'm surprised at your thoughts on the handling - every car review says it isn't as good as the mk2!?
  5. nice one - be sure to post pics when you have the said beast!
  6. jbeer, were you a potential customer or just a test pilot. As a former car salesman people who used to waste my time were the most annoying type of people, not to mention taking me away from potential sales, and potentially losing money. On another note, everybody mentioned this when the mk2 came out so i'm sure people will change their mind in time!
  7. ,y mk1.5 was 100k before i get rid. At the end of the day, any car can go wrong at anytime, so imo its unfair to label ford. My mk2 is alot better than my mk1.5, yes the build quality doesn't seem as tight, but i'm more than impressed with it. If my mk2 lasts to a 100k miles before it needs work doing, then i'll be more than happy, at least the finance will be finshed by the time it gets to that mileage
  8. its not creaks, its rattles, but not big ones if that makes sense. Just those annoying little ones that seem to be illusive!
  9. 10. well after owning my mk2 for nearly 2 months, i cant help but feel that my old mk1.5 felt better in terms of build quality. my mk2 has rattles where as my mk1.5 felt very solid and hardly creaked or anything! anybody else have this opinion?
  11. well, i took it into ford, and they successfully coded the flip key to my car. dont take no for an answer, as i didn't!! thanks guys!
  12. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2007-FORD-FOCUS-U ... 3cb7d22b04 /\ this is it. wow, that looks nice!!! only thing that lets it down imo, is the blue seats as opposed to it having green seats. nice all the same. i wonder if all the pods work as they should do!?
  13. zetecm4plm, you would have thought, however i purchased my focus from a whizzpopper garage who are paying for it. So in this case, it would appear that my local ford dealer (no names mentioned) haven't got a clue what they're on about. The car is going in tomorrow morning so getting it sorted so i'll let you all know. thanks guys!
  14. liam-20, your right, it hasn't got the lines on the side of the doors that the mk2.5 has, and it hasn't got the right boot lid. on the plus side, i'd buy it if it was straight, put it right again and use it. 31 miles on the clock
  15. cost isn't a problem as the dealer is paying for it!
  16. Right, I'm in the process of ordering a flip key from my dealer who are insisting that it isn't suitable for my car as when my car was supplied from the factory, it didn't have the flip key, instead had the normal remote key. I've spoken to terry on here who says it will work, and i dont disbelieve him in the slightest but the ford dealer are insisting that it wont work. So, who on here has got a MK2 focus that WASN'T originally supplied with a flip key, but has had one successfully paired up with their car via ford, and not via it being cloned etc. What i'm going to do is print this o
  17. apologies for raising this from the dead, but has the how to for fitting the handsfree kit been done? i've got the ck3200 colour. it should be the same i'd have thought?
  18. i'm confused by what your saying. There aren't supposed to be covers on the key holes, the set up you have is correct. The passive key will have a key blade inside it so that if the battery in the fob fails you can still gain access to the vehicle. Keyless entry doesn't come on every titanium, your right. How i know these things? i sold them for a living
  19. looks very nice. I'm not keen on the rear of the mk3 but love the front and interior. nice colour too!
  20. i like those, just goes to show that with a few mods the mk3 can look awesome!
