  1. It can also handle 4 adults, 3 suitcases, a baby in car seat, travel cot, pushchair and handluggage. Doesnt mean I wont get an s-max when baby number 2 comes along.
  2. I bought my car last June. It had had the usual dealer clean and looked spotless inside and out. During the last few weeks, now car is back in sunlight and the polish has gone from the interior i have noticed a strange mark. All the insides of the doors from window to floor appear to have streaks down them. It looks like someone has poured something down them and looks awful. It doesnt clean off so i am at a loss as to what it is. At first i thought my baby son had spilt something on his door but its now showing on every door. A second thing that my partner has noticed is with the rear scree
  3. I fought long and hard to keep my 206cc as long as I could when pregnant before getting a 'family' car. I finally picked my c-max up on my due date and wish id got it sooner. Much more fun to drive than all my previous cars except my CRX. Cant justify an s-max until baby number 2 really so will wait a couple of years and stick with the c-max
  4. With first baby on the way go for the leather if you can find it. Sticky fingerprints are easier to wipe off.
  5. is Leemarmit trying to raise funds to buy a Honda do you think?
  6. If the mpg was set to give average reading then unless you reset it you wouldnt necessarily see a difference on your trip. Depends how far it had driven so far to give the average as 11mpg if you see what i mean. I drive a 2.0TDCI manual and i get 45-50mpg as an average.
  7. As max has already said, mine is useful for catching all the things that my partner drops from his pockets. keys, change, lighters etc etc. Cant think of any other use for it.
  8. Ive got a 53 plate ghia with toys and although Ive had the EGR valve replaced I would buy another c-max. I bought it as a family car / runaround as i had to dispose of my 206cc when my son was born and i wasnt expecting anything great just practical. I love it tho. Its nippier that the 206cc and i get better mileage.
  9. :D . I have to say i hate them. It was always making me car sick. Just thought Id point out that Ford is in an elite group when its comes to the air juddering at 40mph.
  10. Depends what driving you do really. If i fill up before a 300 miles motorway and A roads journey then i get 50-55mpg on that journey. Since having my EGR valve sorted i now have an average 44-48mpg on combined motorway and town driving. Mines a 53 plate 2.0TDCI
  11. Mine does it, it gives me a headache. I remember my dad's rolls royce doing it as well and my mum was always complaining. I havnt had it in any other car but the c-max tho.
  12. If only we were given more practical things in the c-max like, for instance, a vase and plastic flower (Whats that all about? )
  13. Ive never used mine. Really cant see a great use for it at all except as an infill
  14. Id give my 2.0TDCI 9/10. Its had the EGR valve replaced and Ive had no real problems with it apart from that. Its great for space, carries 3 adults, baby in car seat, pram, travel cot, suitcases etc etc
  15. I have the copy of check sheet used when they serviced vehicle. Brake fuild got green light, Car has only done 19k. Tyres are only thing that got amber, due to being 2mm tread. I shall get BF changed at 25k.
  16. My car is being serviced today (in fact theyve just called to say they have finished). Its cost me £159 but at no point have they even mentioned an break fluid change to me. Is it definately an extra to the service? Surely if it needs doing at the same time then it shouold be part and parcel of the service?
  17. Focusy. Ive got the 2.0TDCI Ghia and a young son too (8 months) The blinds have been more than enough to keep the strong sun out (when weve had any sun that is). The only thing Id mention, and its important, is that the leather may need to be cut to get an isofix in. We took ours to Halford and they couldnt even find an isofix point. they found something behiand one seat but couldnt quite reach it and were unsure as to whether it was isofix point. I would say though that our car seats fit perfectly without. The one we are using now is a Maxi-cosi Priori XP and its great. He can now see
  18. yes there are two light, one either side. Both are affected abd will only work as courtesy lights or off.
  19. I have same problem with my 2.0TDCI 54 plate. So does a friend with exact same model See link from previous post http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=111179 Nicola
  20. It has a 3 position switch but only ever comes on when in courtesy mode. If switched on it doesnt light. Hmm another thing to add to list for garage methinks. Thank you for the info
  21. Ok I know i should check the manual but thats 60 miles away so i thought Id ask you lot. I have a carseat in rear for my 8 month old son. When putting him in and out the light is on when the car doors open, but if the rear passenger wants to check on him when car is moving the light wont go on. Is this right? i thought it was a reading light rather than a courtesy light. Am i wrong? Nicola 2.0TDCI 54 plate
  22. Thanks Mastertech I shall be getting them checked out. Typically, they havnt done it for a few days :D
  23. Yeah anythings possible where the c-max is concerned worth a try tho surely?
