Forfot to say my trip was about 300 miles as we included a couple of drives into the equation as well.

Longest trip I have done is to Loch Lomand over a weekend, don't drive the car as much as the wife uses it for work.

I tried to activate this using the diagnostics system and it never worked, I heard it can be dangerous in the fact you might not be able to get out of the car if you are involved in a accident.

Another thing I like about the 1.6TDCI is compared to the last diesel I drove (Fabia vRS) is that on start up it sounds more like a petrol than a diesel and is quiet on the move.

Go for the diesel, myself and my wife purchased a 1.6TDCI Zetec and we returning 48-50MPG on trips around town (wife uses the car more than me with her job as a learning assistant at a school - 20 mile round trip each day), if I were to point you towards the diesel go for the 2.0TDCI the 1.6 does feel underpowered (came down from a 170bhp fabia vrs to a 90bhp diesel) but apart from that the car has never missed a beat, look for a Zetec Trim level if you can as it comes with tinted glass, alloys and is well specced for the money. Hope this helps.

Hi all, My first question, we're picking up our C-Max Zetec 1.6 TDCI on friday and it will be my wife who will mostly be driving the car and we just wondered if the car had a Auto Locking function when the car hits 10mph or more that can be accessed through the diagnostics system. Many thanks Davy

I think there is a issue with the paint finishes on the mark two focus not matching, c-max will fall into same catogary I guess. Davy
