Well I don't like the noise.

Well I teach my pupils to press the button in when putting the handbrake on. just like i was taught to do. The Focus hasn't got the best handbrake in the world but I've had no problems. Mine passed it's first MOT today :D 65,000 miles on the clock and only one set of front brake pads. I'm impressed. On another subject I went and had a look at the new Focus and think some of the changes look really crap. The new speedo and gauges layout looks really cheap and I wouldn't be able to see the speedo from the passenger seat (essential for a driving instructor). It's put me off swapping mine :(

I like the reversing light where it is because parallel parking is easier at night when the kerb is iluminated.

Hi all, my car is just about due for it's 62,500 service and have been quoted £139.50 from the Ford garage i've been using. I travel 20 miles form home because the Ford garages in Hull are all Evans Halshaw and are expensive and crap! £75 per hour labour rate, the one I use in Driffield, East Yorkshire charge £35 per hour and they are a family firm and you can actually speak to someone who knows what they are talking about. I think i'm gonna carry on using them even though my warranty is now out.

1.6 zetec climate 3dr. in aquarius. (lovely!)

It's got 6 discs in it. I was gonna give them a call tomorrow to find out about repairing it before i enquire anywhere else.

Hello everyone, My Sony 6 disc cd player has suddenly decided to stop ejecting discs. It still plays perfectly and changes from one disc to another with no problems, I just can't get the bloody discs out. When you press eject the unit displays NO CD. has anyone else experienced this problem? unfortunately I bought the unit second hand around four months ago so i think it'll be upto me to get it repaired. thankyou in advance for any help. Hi, I have Toyo proxes on my zetec climate. They are nice and quiet, have excellent grip in the wet. They have a lip on the tyre where it meets the rim to help protect the wheel in case you get too close to a kerb. And the toyo's have a nice looking tread patern. Just over £300 for four and far better than the michelin premacy i had before.

My Aircon has been noisey since I got my car two years ago. I've had the car back and it's been re-gassed to see if that helped because the gas is also a lubricant, but it didn't make any difference. I asked the dealer about the condenser being at fault but they wouldn't change it until it brakes down. The fault is logged with them and ford so if it breaks down after the warranty runs out I may be able to have it replaced at less or no cost. but I wouldn't hold my breath. Mine goes quiet after a little while, and still gets nice and cold.

I reckon it's a photo shop job. No slots for removal. And it just doesn't look right.

It doesn't matter where you bought your car from, if it's less than three years old and has less than 60,000 miles on the clock and has been serviced properly then the warranty is still valid and a Ford dealer will fix the problem for free. I had a wind noise issue on my three door. The drivers door was adjusted and it's gone. Half an hours job. I don't know which way it was adjusted because you can't tell any difference when you look at the door. The noise is gone though and that's the main thing.

That looks nice! I like the headlights but the colour is a bit dull. Asbo orange or whatever it's real name is would be better.

Oops! Wish i'd kept me gob shut. i'm just not a fan of over modded cars. I like them as Ford intended. Maybe ten yours ago when I was in my early twenties and had the money I may've felt different. Didn't want to offend anyone. :(

sunny. this may sound daft but by the tima you have spent all the extra money on mods to your titanium, that could be somewhere near the price of the ST? Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their own car, I have changed the headlamps bulbs in my car for brighter ones because i didn't think much to the original lights. And I've changed my stereo for the sony 6 cd because i was sick of changing discs all the time. I once had a new O2 sensor fitted to my car but the engine management light never came on, the car just kept stalling on tickover. It was done by one of the Evans Halshaw branches in hull and I got the car back dirty and scratched. So i now travel 30 miles to get my car serviced, but the service is excellent and it's a hell of a lot cheaper aswell. :)

Exactly the same when i took mine until i changed dealers, and even then it had to go back twice. tell them you want them to talk to Ford technical about it and see what they say. there's obviously a problem with your car or you wouldn't be there! the reason they couldn't hear any rattles is because an 18 year old apprentice will've taken it for a test run and had the stereo on full. The Ford dealer i now use is much better than that, but they are a small family business and i think you get much better service. I've found all large dealers for all the brands of car i've had just don't care. Ke

Hello, I have had a very similar problem with my 1.6 zetec climate which had been going on for some time. The diagnostic showed nothing so my dealer spoke to a guy from ford technical who had been visiting another one of their branches nearby. He told them they had seen a few problems with throttle bodies and the related wiring harness, so these parts were ordered even though nobody knew if it would cure the problem. The parts were fitted on monday which took about an hour and now the car is like new again. I was so relieved because it'd been driving me mad for ages and another Ford dealer i u

I changed the fog lamp bulbs on my car because after changing the head and side light bulbs for xenon filled ones they looked too yellow. They are H7 and have a rubber socket on the bottom probably because they are exposed to water in the position they are in. £20 each in halfrauds or £6 for two on ebay!

Well it's a big improvement on the LX if that's the case.

Hi all. Yesterday while i was out and about i saw a red three door focus with colour coded mirrors, door handles and rubbing strips and more unusually a colour coded grill. at first i thought it was a mod that someone had done themselves and thought how good it looked, but then noticed the wheels on it looked different to any i'd seen before on a focus so i slowed down as i passed and it said style on the back. Is this a new model or a limited edition? It looked nice but i still prefere my zetec climate! Until i can afford an ST for weekends that is! :D

Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with my 05 1.6 zetec climate. The car runs fine when cold but as it warms up the car starts hesitating when travelling at a steady speed, the best way to describe it is the feeling of towing something with a slack rope that keeps tightening and slowing the car down. the revs on tick over sometimes dip to the point of nearly stalling before picking up again. The problems are sometimes really bad to the point of thinking the car is gonna break down, and sometimes very subtle but still very annoying!
