The parking lamp setting puts your exterior side lights on but not all the interior dash lights. Its for when you park on a dark lane or somewhere that the car is hard to see. You need the four removal keys, there the same one as used on a mercedes, pc155 I think. If your upgrading to the sony 2nd generation in a pre 07 focus then you will need the new facia panel aswell. The steering wheel controls will work on the new sterio but if your fitting the bluetooth then there is another steering wheel remote that has an extra button on it labled voice.

No, you can see the check strap when the door is open, it will be loose and not under tension if its broke and the door is open.

Im trying to do a neater job of installing my ST wing mirrors with indicators on my focus that the how to as I dont like the idea of cable tying the power wires to the outside of the rubber boot between the car and door. Unlike the mk1, it seems as though the wires continue through this bung instead of having the twist lock type with male and female pins like on the mk1. I had a look tonight and took the door check strap off to get the door wide open but I cant get the bung out of the A post on the car to feed wires through into the door. Has anyone had these off and know a trick on how to do

If your using a clock from a car then it may need an illumination feed aswell. But definatly 12v permanant live and earth. You could get the the feed from the permanant live to the sterio to hold its memory. The only problem with the clock showed above is it also houses the immobiliser LED aswell so will have other feeds into the plug for that.

The last post on there sais the new cap has foam under it. Well my 06 titanium already has that type of cap with the foam underneath it. I think it is stil heavy on the screen wash though. Ford should start quoting miles per gallon of screenwash soon in the hand book.... :D

You new sterio not have a clock function then? Maybe find a small battery one and stick it in front of the dials or something.
