  1. Was fitting the AUX adapter in the car the other day, and there were these two plugs sat there, taped up and doing nothing. Anyone know what they're for?
  2. BTW; I have the lockwood versions which i prefer. They look like this;
  3. I don't really see how it'll be anything to do with the push start at all. All it is, is an electronic key, instead of mechanical turning. Sorry, can't help though. But how many miles has the car got on it now? Is it due a service etc...
  4. Yehhhh, ifind that. Even though it drinks a LOT of fluid, i went through a full fill in about 2 weeks the other day. Then again, i like clear front and rear screens.
  5. The grey one will make the interior look drab IMO.
  6. I have that in my car sometimes, but only when wearing my work boots, as they are WIIIDE and it's not easy to not press the accellerator when braking. Only get it if i'm wearing those boots though.
  7. I got some philips Extreme power bulbs in my focus. VERY powerful, and much much much bigger improvement over the standard bulbs. Dead easy to change too. Take out headlights, pop off cover, swap, and thgen clip in and screw back in the headlight.
  8. Just go to halfords and buy the inner. (I had to get the 16" refills, and cut it down) The only way to get an aero wiper on the rear is to buy a VAG one, and modifying it. (As you'lll need a new arm to put anything aeroesque on it.
  9. How do they fit on? (The DMB ones) Do the existing badges come off, and these stick on? Or do they stick on top?
  10. Both sides are connected? Whad do you mean both sides are connected? Both ends of teh arm? The black 'caps'?
  11. I'm not 100 percent sure if they do need the mount (I was getting confused with the MK1 probably). I'm not too sure whether they'll bolt on, they may do if the diesels are just a bolt on jobby. I'd just double check with Ford, or some of the more knowledgeable members. But its a definate for the larger calipers.
  12. I can get the test up now and then, but normally it goes to SHIPPING MODE on mine also.
  13. ST is about 20mm lower. Eibachs come in at £110ish, and lower 30mmish.
  14. The ST discs and pads? You'll need the ST calipers and also new mounts for the calipers. (The size of the 2.0 petrols discs are smaller than the ST brakes, with the ST brakes at 320mm, and the 2.0 at 278mm) Lowering is fine, but you will need to check the tracking/alignment once the lowering has been done. All the larger wheels do, is increase the rim diameter, and reduce the depth of the rubber, keeping the circumference of the wheel the same, so all it'll do is probably make the car a bit slower, with a greater rolling weight. Don't forget to tell the insurance too ;)
  15. Where are you looking at for this connection? There is a hole with vents at the back, as all the marques use the same glovebox, but the higher marques use that hole with the vents in for the air conditioned glove box. The hole is right on the edge of the box, at the top, near where the clip will be to hold it shut. As for the cable, yes, you'll need to remove the stereo, plug the lead in, put the lead where you would like it to go, and plonk the stereo back in. It's on my to do list for my car. May get it done this week, as i need a new gear surround anyway.
  16. Whilst i feel a massive difference between comfort and sport on the steering settings. I mean a rather massive difference. Comfort is really quite light.
  17. And people complain that car factories have no business... If that was true, you'd have your car pretty smartish.
  18. Noice one. I shall go check now! [edit] Just checked, and it seems that i have got the heated washer jets! RESULT[/edit]
  19. Just thinking about it, would that mean that my '56 reg zetec may have the heated jets? Got the heated screen/mirrors etc, but never thought about the jets.
  20. On a mk2, there are a few different ones, dpending on what version you get. The Studio/Style comes with the Mk2 version, whilst the zetec and the Titanium comes with a spoiler similar to the ST.
  21. So today, it was wet, nearly freezing, and all that biznets. Slowing down to reverse into the drive, but i nearly missed my house, so i stood on the brakes a bit. I've noticed this nearly every time i've had to brake hard, but does anyone else find, that when braking hard, the rear wheels lock up? Well, only one rear wheel locks for me, which is odd.. Normally the N/s rear locks, miles before the abs kicks in. What could be the cause of this? It's just that it's every single time that i have to brake hard that the rear locks. And the same wheel. Rear discs if that helps?
  22. sl170, What spoiler did the car come with?
  23. My 2006 zetec doesn't do it. Not exactly hard pressing two buttons that are next to each other. Then again, it hasn't been below 0deg since getting my car when starting it.
