  5. isnt that the difference between it being aluminium and 'finish' lol. mine is silvery in colour but sure as hell aint ali'!
  6. hey TMD, cool, same as me:) I love mine. What colour have u gone for?
  7. or leave the window open, lock once (not double) and do it that way. i assume that works, as it did on my puma. or as said, unlock bonnet when armed.
  8. i cant help but floor the thing with the transient overboost thing, its addictiive. i cant drive it slow lol. around 3000/3500 the power seems to really kick in nicely.
  9. of course u can always hit the a/c button when it comes on to turn it off :)
  10. my 2.0tdci zetec gives me about 40/45mpg depending on how i drive it. if i am 'lively' - which i am normally.. 3/3.75rpm each time then it gives nearer 40mpg which is about what ur saying too..
  11. i asked superchips the same question for the 2.0tdci. they said theyd let me know but wasnt being developed at present.. :(
  12. well the quoted figure is 7.8 in 4th but i havent timed it - and frankly that sounds slow doesnt it lol
  13. Learning to spell, capitalize and punctuate would be a start. It helps by making things easier to read. It's not a new thing incidentally, most people get it right. It's a pretty nifty trick to sound stupid when you're typing. And try reading before other posts before you wade on in there... Plenty of us aware of the paint issues! someone got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning  lol - and of course in the UK we use S's instead of Z's :) lol.
  14. yes thats correct, they're bi. the other (side light) bulb is a normal one - and frankly looks a little silly, being a yellowy light. gonna get some xenon lookilikie bulbs for the sides so it looks more uniform. i love my xenons, they're the dogs :)
  15. ug!! girl in horny car = heaven. hope u find ur dog guard :)
  16. im normally quite heavy footed and i get 47 - 48 ave and if im in traffic doing like 35 to 45 i get 51mpg. as i said i do give it some beans tho. must be down to indivual engines maybe? cos my mpg is in this freakin cold weather too!
  17. So, I thought they weren't on sale until January, but I know that one was released to its new owner in Sussex today..... (not me :( ) odd?
  18. my fuel light comes on with 50 miles to go. a mate who has the same had the guts to try it out and he got to 1 mile left to empty (after it came on at 50 miles) and sure enough he'd done 49 miles.... so it does seem to be pretty accurate.
  19. Hi denogtv ive got a 2.o tdci and im loving it. came from a puma so the power is a bit more than that. impressed with handling and performance, though this is the 1st diesel ive ever had so im still getting used to it. since getting it - 5 miles on the clock ive now done about 4300 miles, its def loosening up and ive just found the perfect driving position. fuel consumption is ok, depends how you drive it, but if you have any sort of semi busy roads - like commuting to and from work, then if you're going along at about 50mph ave, then its giving about 48 to 52mpg. travelling around 90 (if
  20. thanks, was wondering if it was mp3 thing, but thats in the glovebox. ta :)
  21. I noticed it whilst cleaning the car inside today, under the light switches area, there is a cubby hole and a electrical connector plug for something... but what!? (im talking drivers side, not in the glovebox) any ideas?!
  22. just for info, my focus (non c max) 2.0tdci gives about 47mpg average. that is putting my foot down a fair bit too. i tend to drive the wrong side of the limit most of the time. town driving yields about 38 to 42mpg, normal is 47/48, but in sub 50mph it will do 51mpg. motorway averages about 45/48 at about 90 (private motorway of course... :))
