  1. you are right Andy you have to take the glove box totally out including the box itself to get to the filter even then it can be quite fiddely :?
  2. All vehicles after 2000 will have a OBD Port its the same as the Diagnostic port
  3. its an extra option fella but as Jo has just nicely pointed out which I was unaware of was you can get a ISO FIX kit so like i says to Jo speak to Tezza hes probably better with this then I am. Im just a Diagnostic Engineer not a Internal Trim engineer so not too clued up on this but what ive seen fron new cars they have a ISO FIX tag on the seats that have them fitted.
  4. you will need to get whole new seats matey what i'd do is go to a local scrappy and find the latest car you can maybe as top spec as possible to see how much they would want for the rear seats
  5. If your car has them the seat with the ISO will have a tab sitcking out of it fella you cant miss it funnily enough it says ISO FIX on the tab
  6. Did soneone call ? You will need to do a recal because if you leave it as is like some people have said already the Speedo will be out not only that but the fuel economy would possible be a bit higher then normal as the PCM is thinking the car is going faster then it actually is thus ramping up the timing a bit. I have had it before that a big jump will cause the car to go in the a limp home mode which basically senses something drastically wrong and will retard the timing to save the engine/ drivetrain. At the end of the day fella the choice is yours i know some dealers can charg
  7. Thats kool fella the reg will do i can find the rest out by just punching the reg in on the production records, Im seeing the the man in charge on Monday as Friday he was a little stressed out with the focus CC issue
  8. yeah but if there back order then theres no date of Delivery fella
  9. Hi Steve, If ford dont know about this issue there could be a lot of people in the same situation as you so i always like to personally challenge the people who are supposed to be in the know to find out if they are aware of any issues so dont worry about putting anyone out matey its their job and mine to bring it to someones attention because it can loose Ford alot of money if so many vehicles are going down with this issue
  10. Hey fella Sorry to hear of your problems. in answer to your questions 1, It all depends if the part is back ordere as the dealer has 3 other Foci with the same issue i would imagine theres a few out there with this issue. 2, It will only be raised as an issue to Fords if the Dealer writes a Global Failure Report to Fords (9 times out of 10 it never gets raised) But what I can do is have a word with the C Car investigator for you tommorrow to see if its on his radar. What dealer did you take it to? Rates ? if so i may need your car details Reg Chassis no, and I may have to go down there to g
  11. This is normal relay activation noise and can not be rectified as its a charastic of the vehicle my suggestion to all is if you are a fella then use your special selective hearing powers to block it out other wise just turn the radio up that bit louder
  12. well it could be a number of things matey you could have water in the CJB or the Can Bus has gone down my suggestion would be take it to a dealer ASAP
  13. Mark, The ford one will just plug on (As long as the Module has been programmed before fitting.) all you need to do is find a scrap vehicle take the module and Microphone off of it and go to ford and get the jumper loom tht basically goes between the radio and the bluetooth module. Its as easy as that matey. i Can find the loom part number if you want it and I may even have a spare module from a mates car if you want to try it PM me  Ps the loom is about £20 from Ford
  14. Trust me fellas its just a "freshing" of the MK2 which will make it the MK2.5 the same with the MK1-MK1.5 and thats all its not gonna be a whole vehicle change.
  15. It depends on if the Dealer has a Courtesy car available and also how good the dealer is with customer satisfaction. But i dont think its a requirement that if your car goes in under warrenty for an amount of time that you are given a car ????? Take a look in your warrenty book mate it explains it there
  16. This is very common on Fiestas. The other cause which I have witness loads of times is the Coolant Pulg in the Plug channels breaks the seal and causes the Coolant to fill the channel up which causes the same issue as you are discribing. but Ive never heard of the washers going on the Focus??????? :?
  17. Sounds like the Bluetooth module has failed for some reason. The radio unit without Bluetooth will display Audio Muted normally. I would take to the local ford main dealer to assess the issue
  18. why not try somewhere else matey its still in Warrenty is it not?
  19. yeah i can understand your frustration and personally i like to speak to the customer myself when i get an intermittant fault and even go and pick the customer up from where ever they are so they can drive it so i can try and witness the issue as most of the time the problem is esculated (spelling) with driving style.
  20. I for one would never be able to do an Advisors job. Ive been on the Technicians endfor a few years and I see what you lot get put through and if I did have to do that job then not only would i not keep that job for long but i think all the customers would be dragged over the desk when they start shouting and screaming at me
  21. as sp8y, says fella some times they just loose their memory so they just need to be retought. Give it a go mate and see where you go
  22. there the same as the MK1/1.5 mate get a thin Flat bladed screwdriver under the bottom of the cover and work gently until it pops off
  23. best place is either the Ford dealers or Autotrader mate
  24. It sounds like it could be the EPS Wiring harness connector they have been known to get water in them which causes this failure. Other then that it could be anything even the CAN buss being disrupted ? really the dealer needs to see the DTC's before any decision can be taken as to the fault. Hope you get it fixed quick fella
  25. I think youll find that the button next to the internal handle is to disable the interior scanners when setting the alarm. so that if you have a dog or a kid in the car that will move but want to lock the car they wont set off the alarm
