  1. Just thought I'd bump this to catch any newbies who haven't voted yet. As it stands, Zetec Climate now the clear winner, and a close run thing between the Ghia and Titanium.
  2. I lived with the blue/cream interior for a month. I thought it was great at first, but then it began to tire somewhat. After I swapped my Titanium I now have the black interior and I do think it is classier.
  3. That must be first modded Saloon I've seen. :)
  4. Ford apparently felt there was no need for a 1.8 in the mk2 range because the 1.6 Ti-VCT engine provided the same sort of oomph. It does have higher bhp than the regular 1.6 because of it's special variable timing mechanism thingy. Regular 1.6 = 100bhp 1.6 Ti-VCT = 115bhp The Ti-VCT is very popular on this board, I've got one in my Titanium and it's great for what I want it for.
  5. Yes - well part-leather to be precise, which I actually think is better than full-leather. In summer leather tends to get very hot and in the winter very cold. The fabric parts tend keep a more evened-out temperature which is kinder to your rear-end. :D
  6. I had it on my first Titanium, but not my present one. Both 05 plate.
  7. Yeah silver is very common which is why I avoided it as well, and the same reasoning for black. The ST looks good in grey as well.
  8. You should never be paying £20K in the first instance (go through a car broker, for instance) but yes depreciation is just a fact of life for Fords and all types of cars.. generally German cars hold their value best, and Alfa Romeo are the worst, with Ford somewhere in between.
  9. Sounds great. If I was buying brand new then that's exactly the sort of spec I would have gone for. When you get delivery of the car, please post some pics here. BTW, when I first sat in a mk2 I also felt that the rear view wasn't great and that with the size of the car (coming from a mk4 Fiesta) I might need parking sensors. However, after a few weeks of actually driving and owning one, I got myself used to it and feel comfortable with it now, and that my perceived need to have the sensors was misplaced.
  10. Why are a number of you keeping your ST for such a short period of time ? I don't understand that, especially after many have been waiting months just to get delivery of it in the first place.
  11. Just thought I'd bump this thread to see if anyone knows anymore. I think that £1500 for the MS Design kit and alloys "all-in" is very good - and I would be happy to pay that. However I would preferably like the new Ford kit + alloys for this price if possible... any Ford dealer out there who will oblige ? :? :? :?:
  12. Birds have been s****ing a lot on my car lately. Why can't they go and s**t somewhere else?
  13. My guess is that it would be very easy for someone "in the know" to retrofit a Titanium with the Ghia's Cruise Control steering wheel and gubbins. However will it be offered as a dealer upgrade? I'm not holding my breath.
  14. knowing Ford I bet they've changed the whole loom Would be nice if Ford could retrofit CC to any Titanium such as mine :D however I suspect that if you asked a Ford dealer they would probably stare at you with a gormless expression. I think CC is only taken seriously on the Mondeo as it seems to be on most models as standard.
  15. Same here, it's a pretty forgettable feature to be honest.
  16. Just check AutoTrader. Have a look at this one at Stanways of Lytham - it's a Silver 5-door ST2... Drool... http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/pdfs/13 ... 071315.pdf
  17. I reckon it must be, because my official printed brochure says it isn't available... :? :? Should be on the Titanium as standard, IMO.
  18. What (if anything) on the warranty would be voided if I were to have an aftermarket Cruise Control system installed ? .. :? :?
  19. Well, someone now has voted for one - although that's the same number of people who have the basic ST ....
  20. Just spotted no less than 3 accident damaged mark 2's on eBay.. I guess there are going to be many of these starting to come through. Makes you sad to look at them... :( :( Zonked Zetec Gashed Ghia Oh dear...
  21. Searching the Internet, it appears that Conrad Anderson can fit aftermarket cruise control, so all is not lost if you don't own a Ghia. They do an interesting one which fits as part of your gear-knob. More info http://www.conrad-anderson.co.uk/cruise ... module.htm Mind you I was wondering if getting one fitted would invalidate the car's warranty ?
