  1. Thanks mate looks like I will have a bit more filling to do then
  2. Yep can see the tape but I am not sure if there are any clips in there as well. I ask as I want to remove mine and want to know if there is holes underneath that I need to fill.
  3. Has anyone on removed their door bump strips for colour coding? I am just wondering how they are held are they just stuck on or do they have clips as well.
  4. Can you not get the alloy repaired most wheel refurb places will have a coded welder that they use. I know some people will be along soon to tell you not to get it welded but if the weld is carried out correctly it will be just as strong as the surrounding metal.
  5. This is becoming a comon fault on the ST's they seem to last about 3 years then pack in, needless to sya there is a big backlog with some people having to wait 4 weeks.
  6. Check the door seals mate I had the same on my car and found one of the door seals had twisted slightly letting water in.
  7. You can't get the rubber bit off without removing the seal due to the way the switch sits in the car. My second switch was doing the same as yours and eventually it stopped working. First one was even better the day I picked the car up, it was brand new I found the boot wouldn't open so much for a pre delivery inspection
  8. I am on my third boot switch now I had two in the first week I owned the car. They are pretty easy to get to, there are two screws holding the boot lid cover and then it will pull off. You then have to take off 4 10mm bolts and the outside boot trim comes off( the bit with the lights) the swaitch will then just pop out.
  9. Looks good now I know what the paint was for
  10. The red stuff pads are fine for normal road use, I have had them fitted to my ST for over 1,000 miles now with no problems. I also have the same discs as you, so I can say that every so often you will hear the brakes squeal when applying light pressure. It is a common thing happens on all ST's running upgraded pads.
  11. Good to hear about good service for a change but I do have a question how did the car car pass a MOT if you have 2 bushes that are splitting, should have been a failure.
  12. I would never have thought of that, looks like the Halford screenwash has another plus point then I have been using it problem free for the last 4 years.
  13. It could be that the pipe has come off the rear washer jet it has happened a few times.
  14. When the cars in my house go in for MOT it costs £38 in a local garage so don't know about the fixed price. A service is only an oil and filter change costs about £20.
  15. I will second the Avons I have them fitted to my ST and I can't fault them. If you have a friendly tyre fitter in your area try camskill for tyres you can get the Avons for £80 a corner
  16. You would be better posting this in the ice section mate might get more response in there
  17. Stops the buckle getting scratched by the handbrake or the buckle scratching the handbrake. I am sure there was something on here about it a while back.
  18. I am sure its a full service including air filter and spark plugs if its a petrol. Have a look in your owners manual it tells you what each service requires.
  19. Not sure about the 4 lugs when I fitted my double din it slotted straight in with no cutting required
  20. It is double din but you will need a facia adaptor and wiring harness to fit any aftermarket stereo
  21. Not sure on this one mate but you might get some better info in the tech sections
  22. It is a pain but is a common problem on all models of Focus right from the begining. The rear wheel just throw loads of water on the back window not much that can be done about it though.
  23. You can pick up a funnel with a flexible neck to bend it into the reservior. Works a treat I have already used that method with no spills.
  24. As long as you are ok thats all that counts cars can be replaced or fixed
  25. It proberly is just one size but you will have to know what angle to adjust them to or you could just end up with the wheels pointing the other way
