  1. flag it up to them and get it sorted, it also wouldn't hurt to contact Ford themselves and get a point of contact or reference to take to the dealer. if your nearest dealer is the same franchise, i don't see why not take it there, unless you want to deal with the guy that sold the car to you.
  2. i don't think i have this on my 05 Ghia, i have the one touch controls for all 4 windows, but not the global close -- tried locking that car before with windows down, and nothing, they stay down.
  3. aye he is a good guy, hope you get it all fixed up soon enough. they have a fully modified Ford workshop and spray booth, as i got my wings done when i damaged the bumper and bonnet in my crash, and the wings were not damaged, but needed blended.
  4. yep in a quiet car, you can hear the clicking from the glove box. just crank up the radio/music.....:)
  5. the creaking suspension was a warranty replacement of the front tie rods if i recall from the work my 2005 Ghia got done. Not sure what it will cost you if the car is out of warranty, this should have been picked up by any competent dealer who monitors the Ford Service bulletins. It sticked around the forum somewhere, all the warranty repair announcements. I get a full Ford service every year from my dealer LOK, and its costs roughly £135, not including parts. This does include Ford diagnostics, and ECU check/update.
  6. glad your ok, and that you took to LOK, the best Ford dealer I have been to. Steve and Stan will look after it, and the workshop will have it back in play good as new. Make sure your insurance company deal with this promptly, i found i had to keep chasing Admiral after my accident last year, which meant the repair got delayed by nearly 3 weeks. Now did you get a nice yellow Ka courtesy car???? Or were you lucky to get one of the rare blue/silver ones....:)
  7. what was your total cost?? Was the ride better than before?? The best Ford place in the Aberdeenshire area (Lawrence of Kemnay) wanted 5 hours for labour, as that's the time the Ford computer system told them it takes to swap all 4 springs. The Eibach's were only going to cost me £100, but i wasn't paying for 5 hours labour -- can't find anyone else in Aberdeen that can supply and fit these.
  8. How do i stop my driver seat creaking/squeaking, I have a MK2 2005 Focus, which i have had for 2 years, and this only started recently, it gets worse when cornering naturally. Any ideas how to lubricate the seat???
  9. can't beat the bosch 978S aero blades, just shy of £40 though, but my orig blades lasted nearly 3 years: http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/product-li ... * * * *=ncv&c= http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/978s-6 ... 17053.html
  10. Same here, had mine done and I've had no problems since same here, was posted on here long time ago, and my 05 Ghia was stricken, but local dealer was great and did it under warranty along with annual service - the list of stuff Arnie Shark missed would scare you.
  11. Some of the wiper websites don't supply the rear blade, as it not a standard size/fit apparently. Fancied getting some PIAA ones, anybody got them and got any feedback?? I usually use Rainaway on my glass-work anyway.
  12. try the Philips ones on Powerbulbs, get good free sidelights too. dont forget you get FFOC discount too. just dont try and fit them on a windy day, its very hard trying not to drop them using kitchen roll to fit them. mind you i fitted my K&N filter when it was running bad in Aberdeen.
  13. I have the Philips ones, front and back: http://www.powerbulbs.com/bulb_finder.a ... 423&bulb=3 No pics taken.
  14. Anybody know a good place in Aberdeenshire to supply and/or fit Eibachs to my Mk2 1.6 Petrol -- spoke with Lawrence of Kemnay who are an outstanding Ford dealer and service centre, but they were honest, and said they have never done it, and according to the Ford computer system they use for repairs/quotes, it could take up to 3 - 5 hrs to do the work. Now i know i can get the springs from ESP Design for £99inc and should only take 90mins to do the job, but I'm not a mechanic (nor do i know one), IT is my field of expertise. Any help appreciated, but I am not going to Arny Clark's before a
  15. According the Autocar tests, it would seem on the Mondeo test car, the Michelin and Goodyear tyres came off as the good choices for front wheel drive.
  16. as far as I know the MK2's have the std square box, you need a T25 torque/hex to undo the 5 screws, and you have to remove the circlip, to get the air hose out of the way, to get at the last screw removed. When you ordered the filter (ESP Design for mine), you should have got the one for MK2 petrol or diesel, if you have a cone shape, its possible your car maybe me already modified with a different intake unit.
  17. I have Pirelli P7V's on my MK2, outstanding grip and reasonably quiet drive, depending on road surface.
  18. i see the single annoying low reverse light is gone, i hope its up top with the rest of the light cluster. other than that, the only change i see is a colour coded spoiler, and new front bumper design.
  19. yep my 05 ghia has the internal sensor switch on it, just a mistake in the factory, your dealer should at the very least get ot replaced with the right switch. i imagine if you push it, you should get the same message on the screen to say the interior scan has been disabled.
  20. i used a t25 bit and a heavy duty driver to remove the filter lid (pity it was also raining at the time, so speed was of the essence. thanks for the tips Sean, getting that damn hose to come off even after the circlip was undone, wasn't easy. anyhoo, the orig ford paper filter was huge, very deep. the k&n is shallower so, doesn't sit right on the bottom. gave the car a good run afterwards, and i can hear a slight difference, but the car seems to pull in air a lot better (slight more response when putting the boot down on the accel) and i cleaned all the leaves, bugs and seeds from th
  21. the only thing you can hope for is to fit a good alarm with perimeter sensors, and keep a nice maple bat near the front door.
  22. Tony, that's the cleanest engine bay i have ever seen, and my father in-law's C-Max is a very close 'showroom' second.......well done. What's your secret??
  23. although its listed on the discounts page to contact Sonny, i have just ordered some Meguirs Scratch X and a K&N Air filter for my MK2, when i created the account, and added that i have FFOC membership, the account login automatically now has some discount applied, not much roughly 1%. the only bad thing is when you not logged in prices are in inc VAT, when you are logged in, they are ex VAT.
  24. nice touch, and of course nice colour (says fellow Ink Blue Ghia owner).
