Just have wedge between the trim on the left hand side gear stick, that way can take it out when you sell the car worked a treat in my last car. Plus you can have a short cable to your ipod and no taking out the glovebox.

I don't understand what the XT edition is? Mine looks exacly same less sunroof and I have the second switch etc... Will test out the alarm be good to see it work, will post up pix of it tomorrow. cheers bud, Ermmm not as of yet still driving on 7 day cover, when im bk from my trip monday will sort out. Not sure it will have had my cherrished plate put onto the new car. When i phoned up the other day for a quote still came on there system as zetec, will try again. My question on the acoustic, how do i set the alarm off i want to try it......... so this switch what does it dooo? With the new 2.5 how easy it to fit the new power fold mirrors if they do it! The door mirrors are masssive affriad someone is going to hit in time!!!

A few questions the acoustics switch for the alarm, you press it when the key is out of the ignition and on the menu dash screen it says deactivated etc.... So is it activated when you when you double lock the alarm and all windows closed i suppose? The global closing works on the holding the unlock and lock button for 5 secs........... am I right in saying its a full Cat Tha 1 alarm, so calling for a reduction in insurance? Also on the computers board menu there is a option to turn ESP on and off? Can some explain what this is and does? Just a extra for ABS, does it deactivate the ABS as

I have that stereo fitted in my car now. I have got a 2.5 titanium, not a clue, will say mine lights all red! And the stereo has 8 speakers etc.. Tweeters and it sounds awesome! A good buy!

I find submarine lighting a pain, why bother my titanium has it now. In my 57 plate zetec, I had a plug in flex wire in the socket. Done the same effect and didn't put me off when driving as it does now. In halfords for a few quid and switches to blue or green.

Yup my 57 plate zetec done that wipers slow down when your at lights etc... and come on to norm when you are moving. The screens comes automatically etc.. Below 4c when the orange snowflake comes on and also when the red flake comes on at 0c. My 58 titanium does it as well.

Jamz your number plate where did you get that done, the letters are they embolded?

Isn't there 2 fuses, actually on the other side of the fuse box! I seem to remember from the MK1, but I have not even entered the fuse box on the MK2

God that seems expensive paying with 4 yrs/nc £380 12months with norwich Uni0n, was brand new 57 plate at the time. I am 21, done bonus accell for 3 yrs.

Had a leaflet from FORDS the other day, if your car is 3 years or older you can get a value service for £99 and service and MOT is £120 if serviced before 31st December......................... But here goes......... My car is 12months old!!

Had a look today I think I've got at least another 1000 miles left on the buggers! So about 4 weeks for me! ehhehehehe! The disc's are fine, just need a lil clean remove the rust bits! Has anyone fitted RED or GREEN pads what do they look like? Better performance etc... One final thing is there a how to? Should be easy enough!

Yup my pads are low! I have done 22k miles! Looking at some uprated pads, keep the discs for the mo and paint the cal's. What have other people done? Pix and prices and guides?

When you have the windscreen blower on, and the orange snowfake is on 0-5c The rear heater comes on. When the red snowfake is on, the FRONT HEATER AND REAR HEATER will come on and off!

Certainly water ingress! my mate had them on his golf had the VW sign........... depends on what quality they are....... give it ago, will certianly look good! I just spent £50 at FORDS for the alloy ones!

With the K & N what MPG are you getting, any notice on acceleration in 1st or anything? i.e. is it any good?

You sure it won't melt it like a solevent would? I just went to halfords and brought MER gel plastic cleaner did the trick!! :D
