  1. unless there is quite a notiable lip the disks will be fine. just make sure there is at least 25% of the pads left
  2. I had a 1.8 petrol about 18 months ago, when it got going it was bloody nippy. Just took a while to get going though. 3k+ it was some flying machine
  3. Personally I'd contact Eibach and see what they can offer you
  4. Just because the car had stickers, especially with being such an old car doesn't necessarily mean the car is still in the club
  5. As long as the headlights are properly aligned after installation it shouldn't really matter whether the light is Xenon or Halogen based
  6. i've heard good things about the fk452s. the parad's are supposed to be a bit poor in the wet with the harder compound and the tread pattern. i have toyo proxes t1rs on mine, but will probably get eagle f1s next time... at least for the front as the toyos are just far too soft
  7. the 1.8 petrol has pretty much no torque low down but it certainly shifts when you give it the beans!
  8. the IB5 gearbox/linkage does tend to squeak. my old Y reg 1.6 did it, my mum's 1.4 04 fiesta does it and the 05 1.8 C-Max I had earlier this year did it aswell
  9. the 1.8 petrol is noticably crap off the line and at low revs but its a proper good motorway/overtaking machine. it doesnt like much over 5500 either but i liked driving it, even though it was more thirsty than my 2l focus mk1
  10. like 3dr mk2s they are rather rare
  11. Only had it a day so far while Ford fix a couple of bodywork issues on my Focus and oh my very god, the C-Max is fantastic. Being a 20 year old I can't believe how much I like what is a bit of a family car, even compared the the normal focus. The ride height is excellent, so much more visibility of the road ahead. The engine and ride is very smooth, I have the pleasure of the 1.8 petrol variety. The gearstick position is very natural. The only thing I'm not so keen on is that it doesn't feel very chuckable at all and the rear visibility isn't the best, but it is an all round great car. I
  12. i've seen an st in white round darlington so they do exist
  13. there is a blue st3 for sale at patterson ford newcastle for 20k 500 miles on the clock www.pattersonford.co.uk
  14. them rear morettes look awful! the front looks cossie-tastic tho :D
  15. the front would be a lot better if the lines running down on the grill sides matched the splitter
  16. welcome back to ford ownership, as dog says hope to see you out at the meets soon :)
  17. i had no idea overclockers sold anything remotely car related lol
  18. there is a school of thought of properly giving the engine some stick from day 1 in a controlled way to forge the piston rings or something like that, i'm not 100% on engine terminology but i'm learning http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=105957
