That'd be a nice little subtle mod - I have the smoked headlights at the front, so the side repeaters might look good smoked too.

Fitted Sony MP3 but Grrrrrr!
Warwickshire Lad replied to maff257's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
That must be very annoying! I hope the seller has a returns policy just in case he's unable to give you the code... -
Fairly easy - like one of the other posters I also changed my Ghia surround for the Titanium one. If I can do it anyone can !!!

Never had a problem with Tesco (as a diesel user) and I can collect points on my loyalty card every time I fill it up.

Ms Design vs Wolf Concept vs Ford body kit
Warwickshire Lad replied to S11nny's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Maximum Sporty Look = Wolf Medium Sporty Look = MS Design Subtle Sporty Look = Ford I think they all look decent in black so it depends how much of a radical change you want to your car. -
Ooh I say! Interesting stuff. Makes sense to say goodbye to the "Sport" because IMO it never made sense - there was nothing ever remotely 'sporty' about it - it didn't even have Sports Suspension - you had to buy a Zetec for that, and the ultimate 'Sporty' model was always the ST anyway. Also nice to wave goodbye to the LX too as I always thought the front bumper looked naff without foglamps - it'll now therefore only be the cheapo Studio that doesn't have them. I'd already noticed that some of the latest STs I've seen about are coming fitted with the dark headlights - if this is now st

Swapping Radio for a Ford DVD Sat Nav?
Warwickshire Lad replied to mr_greedy's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Also note that the main button controls are on the left-hand side of the head unit. These were positioned here with American drivers in mind so that they could easily access them .... not so convenient for us British though ! -
Petrol Vs. Diesel......PLEASE HELP
Warwickshire Lad replied to Jam9575's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Got no real complaints with my 2.0TDCi, it's a far better performer than what my 1.6 Petrol used to be. Remember also that it's turbo-charged whereas the only turbo-charged petrol Focus is the ST. -
Rack Limiters ..... my findings
Warwickshire Lad replied to Tony's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Allen Ford fitted my 18" wheels and tyres back in January, and I don't think they fitted a rack limiter. Can't say I've had any problems. -
parking sensor covered by warranty?
Warwickshire Lad replied to max headroom's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Exactly this fault happened with my mk2 a few months ago, and it was fixed under warranty. -
Hi Ceri :D Congrats on the purchase, I knew you wouldn't be disappointed with the mk2, it has a growing number of fans. :D Looking forward to the piccies!

I do like that, well done. -
How often do you change your car?
Warwickshire Lad replied to Jo@AFOnline's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I'm on my third mk 2. The first one was a rattly 1.6 Titanium which I had for a month and went back to the dealer. The second was another 1.6 Titanium which I'd planned on keeping, but when I saw the 2.0TDCI Ghia I fell in love! :P -
This is the C-MAX forum, but might as well comment on my regular mk2 Focus which is a 2.0 TDCi Ghia. Yes - the MPG could be better, to be honest. After a fair bit of ordinary urban driving, my MPG read about 36 the other day. Although I have seen it as high as about 52, if I recall. From Ford's own statistics, it does appear that the 2.0 is the thirstiest of the diesel engines. Not sure what can be done about it (if anything).

Loss of power during pull off
Warwickshire Lad replied to morganog's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I'm really glad that this is being talked about - because I've had the same "issue" as well (1.6 TiVCT). Hadn't realised it was the air-con though, so glad other people made the connection. Now I know ! Obviously with the weather lately, I've been using the air-con a lot. As people have said, you just need to apply a few more revs when pulling on to roundabouts etc, so I'll remember that in future. Thank you all ! :D -
There's a video review of a green one on the What Car website. http://www.whatcar.com/car-review-video ... A=1&RT=692 :D

how many mk2 have you had
Warwickshire Lad replied to sim103's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I'm on my 2nd Titanium. The first had a beige/cream interior, but it had dodgy build quality so I had it replaced and now I have one with the black interior. -
Cracked windscreen.
Warwickshire Lad replied to Dreadlock Geezer's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Autoglass replaced the windscreen on my Titanium. No issues. I even tried it through the car wash. :D -
trading in 9mnth focu 1.6 115 ghia
Warwickshire Lad replied to Dharms's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Why are so many people on here "privilege"... is this forum just a load of Ford employees ? Mere plebs like me have to pay full whack. :( -
Rather than spending considerable money to add dodgy mods to squeeze out a few more bhp, why don't people just buy a better engine in the first instance ? Or have I missed something.

Click here. Really like this one - does anyone on here own it ? Was wondering about the alloy wheels - they look like the "machined rim" in Ford brochure but don't think they are exactly the same. Definitely Ford badged though. 2.0 diesel and has a good kit on it. I'm really starting to like red.
